A possible answer to "peak hour working" is to bring back suffix routes ie 35 Clapham Junction -Shoreditch and a peak hour 35A between Camberwell Green and London Bridge. (this is just an example but it would also fall into the TfL standard of routes run end to end journeys)I think this suggestion would solve a lot of the peak hour overcrowding over certain sections of a route

That could work as like with the 15 (H) there would always be a service along the route as opposed to saying a specific section doesn't run at all times thou i still think shorts under the same number would work. Tfl could come up with a slogan like 'always check before you board'.

I can't see peak hour services emerging unfortunately. Doesn't go with the TfL service planning maximum of having a simple network and it costs money to run buses in the peaks that will be sitting around doing nothing at other times. Pretty much all of the daytime peak hours only extensions have been phased out and even the night time shorts are dying a death in favour of more simple structures.
The closest will probably be shorts over existing routes where there is significant demand, like on the 472 from Charlton to North Greenwich or the 108 from North Greenwich to Lewisham.
There's probably more of a case for running off peak only bus services as it makes use of buses doing nothing and some of the drivers who'd otherwise be twiddling their thumbs on spreadovers during the day.

Talking of the heritage 15s, is it really a good idea to have RMs in service where the conductor and a passenger can be in close proximity, either of whom could have contracted Coronavirus?

It's not running at the moment. Very wise, and thank you for letting me know. I hadn't seen any announcement of the service not returning as yet.

Plus nobody to ride the 15(H) either would make it fairly pointless at the moment.

I went shopping in Twickenham today and saw a range of buses, presumably on reduced frequency, but all carrying mostly fresh air. I would expect that further reductions might be appropriate.

Same yesterday afternoon on Chiswick High Road. Hardly a soul about except for the queues outside the few shops that are open. However a Sunday service might give rise to problems in the morning peak.
