By the looks of things no vehicles were damaged although it looks like some of the coaches have been moved from what I saw in the photos. All I can say is the Hotel Hoppa buses wouldn’t have been damaged as they aren’t parked there. Some are usually found (or so I’ve seen from commuting to slough daily before lockdown) parked in the M4 JCT4 Holiday Inn’s car park. These Hotel Hoppa buses can be seen just by looking left on the slip road for the M4 towards Slough. Those poor E200s desperately need a refurbishment (I’ve passed them many a time and have seen what a poor state the moquette is in) and definitely need a respray (but they try to cover it in vinyls that frequently have parts missing). But let’s not forget the Streetlites that were meant to replace/work alongside them that were transferred away to Oxford... That's precisely it, new Streetlites were due last year to replace the E200s on Hotel Hoppa work, but because of the near-collapse of international travel due to Covid-19 they were diverted to Rotala operations in Oxford and the West Midlands.

Because I commute through Stockley roundabout (which is where you can see quite a few of them) I watched the Streetlites appear, and then disappear again, with those poor little E200s soldiering on... I'm hoping those Enviro 200's get another role after their time as the Hotel Hopper ends whenever that may be as whilst I usually can't stand Enviro 200's, these ones are actually interesting so hopefully someone purchases some eventually for standard work.

Some of the Hotel Hoppa StreetLites have now begun being transferred down, albeit in use on the Surrey tendered network at the moment. I think the Hoppa network is down to a PVR of about 4 at the moment, judging by the tracker. So far, white 20176 and 20182/3 (BD20 ODT and BX70 GHB/F) have been out, with a strip of vertical diamonds on the side. A couple of non-Hoppa StreetLites in full Diamond blue livery now at Heathrow are 32321/11 (BD20 ODA/M).

Speaking of their future, sadly SN08 AED was sent for scrap a week ago, as shown by this Flickr photo I found: www.flickr.com/photos/je1791/50938058553/It doesn’t state why this has happened but judging by the smashed window, it wouldn’t surprise me if it had something to do with vandalism, especially since a few are parked up at the moment, and were when I last checked before this lockdown started. I suspect it might have been turned into a spares doner to keep the rest of the fleet but you could be right.

Hotel Hoppa services will need to be operated by EuroVI emissions-compliant buses from 1st March so the Enviro200s will all have ceased operating by then, if they haven't already. Surrey routes 458, 461 and 555 will also need to be operated with EuroVI vehicles as they enter the Greater London ULEZ.

I wonder whether this thread would be suited to the Other Operators section? Rotala do not run any TfL buses. Also, the Surrey changes and Metrobus forums are there rather than here. The other board is entitled London Based Operators, not TfL Operators. As a London based operator, don't see why it had to be moved!

Surrey routes 458, 461 and 555 will also need to be operated with EuroVI vehicles as they enter the Greater London ULEZ. The Hoppa still seems to be solid Enviros whenever I've looked recently, so there's still four out each day seeing out their final days. In theory I think provision to make all the Surrey tendered routes, including the 557 which doesn't enter the expanded zone but will need to be Euro VI to get to/from the depot, was already made back in autumn 2018 when they had their 10 StreetLites delivered? I'd imagine these were Euro VI? Not sure how the evening 461 works in terms of scheduling as to whether its done as the other routes finish and buses move onto it, or if the overlap between them finishing and it starting means additional buses are used, at least to to start it off. The pre-COVID PVR for the Surrey routes was I believe 10, with 2x 8.8m WFs for the 557 (SK18 TKF/J), 4x 9.5m WFs for the 555 (SK18 TLF/J/N/O), and 4x 10.2m DFs for the 458 (SK18 TLU/V/X/Y). Obviously that basic allocation doesn't factor in spare capacity, so additional vehicles were always going to be needed. But for the same reason the 'outside the zone' 557 would always need them, additional Euro VI vehicles were also always going be needed for the RH1/2/3 Royal Holloway services for getting to/from the depot. The Bicester vehicles, while outstationed at Grayline Coaches who may be able to do day to day stuff on them, I'm guessig probably come under Stanwell's remit so would need to be Euro VI also for maintenance purposes to avoid payments every time they return 'home' - or go to Redditch, it's not all that much further on the grand scheme of things! Even then, I believe Oxford has its own Euro V LEZ for buses at the moment anyway?

This is worn by the 20/70-plate Streetlites intended for the Hotel Hoppa services, but have been operating for Diamond operations elsewhere in the country since delivery due to the COVID crisis obviously meaning they've not been needed at Heathrow yet. Note the luggage racks inside. The original five 19-plates show the Hotel Hoppa livery - www.flickr.com/photos/45060815@N07/49701677991The non-Hoppa buses in use down here at the moment (BD20 ODA/M) are in the blue Diamond livery, with ODM having been an all-over white bus with 'Hallmark' fleet names until as recently as early this year, so the blue certainly looks intended for the main public services down here as it elsewhere.

Yesterday I saw an Enviro 200 (didn’t catch which one) on the H2a at the Novotel in west Drayton. Isn’t this violating the LEZ? An SN08 reg has also been doing the school extra on the 557 this week.

The tired looking Hotel Hoppa’s are finally starting to receive repaints, saw 2 this morning roaming round T5. ADX was one on them done so far.

Hallmark, I should say Diamond are running a special 2 hourly shuttle service to get our staff to & from work Christmas Day. Operating T5 to Southall via Hounslow West and Hayes town, they’ve even produced a timetable for the day. I dare say they’ll be using one of their Streetlites for the occasion. flic.kr/p/2mSqnEX
