Sadiq Khan's remit is buses. If Londoners are fed up with buses would they prefer CO and more congestion instead.Only those whose interest is buses will concern themselves with LTs and any other bus type. Knife crime is the remit of the Metropolitan Police.

The LT another expensive BOJO vanity project, which like everything King BOJO touches turns to mould. It's only raison d'etre was the rear door and staircase.Close those and the LT project was pointless. No doubt LT1 and LT1000 will become London Bus Museum exhibits and Sri Lanka may be interested in others. Another remoaner by any chance? LTs are likely to continue in service until they are no longer economically viable, much the same as any other type of bus. In the meantime I suspect most Londoners are far more concerned about knife crime than they are about LTs. Another unnecessary remark to another member, so what if he is a remainer, plenty of Brexiteers are fed up with Boris but that doesn’t sit well with your agenda.

I think plenty of everyone is fed up with Boris. Like the recently refurbished buses on the 318, the rust is starting to show through again Boris was a loveable rogue as Mayor, a step change from Ken Livingstone, I think people were enthralled by the very extensive vocabulary, interspersed with Latin at times and a jovial character. As time went on, the humour stopped and he got more grumpy with the London Assembly, the snow of 2010 caught him out when he forgot to grit roads near bus garages, and he complained the snow and grit formed a slippery 'Icy Lasagne' (basically did not work as thrown on too late)... then towards the end, 2011 Tottenham Riots caught him out (he was on holiday at the time) with a panic order of 3 water cannon from Germany he was not allowed to use on people by then Home Secretary Theresa May... he was furious. Backed into a corner, he behaves like my 3 year old when she's hungry or tired Although there has been poor judgement by Sadiq Khan, (free covid buses, "social distancing " alterations of roads / LTN's etc.) There was been a 'tit for tat' beef between the current Mayor and the previous one. Boris has Sadiq at arms length with small loans or bailouts, like a parent with a child they don't fully trust with money. Sadly this beef affects us all, who tire of crap transport and inevitably return to cars or minicabs to get around more comfort... There's talk of DfT taking over at some point, don't think this current charade will continue as it is...

I think plenty of everyone is fed up with Boris. Are they? More trolling from a predictable source I see, I actually blocked him about a year ago and I'm only seeing this post because you've replied to it😂 Anyway getting back to LT's I suspect they are going to be around for sometime to come and could well turn up in a few unexpected places, who would have predicted them on the 313?

LT2 in Greenline livery suits it's surroundings when on the Ridgeway in Enfield, in more rural settings 259 was one I never predicted for conversion to LTs

LT2 does look more at home on a country route although it's a shame it's not on the 38 anymore and an occasional appearance on the 73.

Used to love your YouTube channel back in the day when buses could go flat out, like a badger on a bypass... there's no trolling, we all have differing views but we should all try to get along

For the DfT to take over there would need to be an amendment to the Greater London Act of 1999. The Act legally makes Transport for London a devolved responsibility.

These replies via other peoples posts are simply trolling for reactions which is the one thing you constantly accuse other people of! By adding a bus related comment at the end of a post don't make things okay.

This digression onto remoaner is pointless but yes, as regards the buses, they are fit for purpose as current hybrid buses and can remain in service until their life expiry or need for full electrification. I reckon passengers on routes 88 & 91 quickly took their new bus types for granted and never gave any subsequent thought to the LTs previously on those routes.

For the DfT to take over there would need to be an amendment to the Greater London Act of 1999. The Act legally makes Transport for London a devolved responsibility. Furthermore, given that the package involving the creation of the position of London Mayor with responsibilities including TfL had a clear Yes vote in the 1998 referendum, it would be undemocratic for the DfT to take over control of TfL. (For good measure, even the Conservatives came round to supporting the proposals).
