I just can't really see (except a handful more to top up the 245) hydrogen buses in London now.

Hydrogen buses will have a part to play in London. In any case Wrightbus are currently demonstrating a fully electric bus at some garages.

That seemed a bit random IMO. Some older garages might not be able to upgraded to electric because of space and location. Thinking older garages such as BW.

There will be areas that probably require major infrastructure upgrades, which will then become a stand off as to who pays for the upgrade. The electric company will want to pass the costs onto the requestor, whilst they will not want to pay for it. Apologies ... useful link on bus charging found and placed here so I have a quick reference to it. network-solutions.vattenfall.co.uk/sectors/transport/electric-bus-charging

When I lived in Shoreditch we used to get power cuts 2 or 3 times a month. On one occasion two junction boxes exploded including one outside my front door. My home was without power for 5 days. You can't just install charging points in garages you need substations and a suitable power supply.

I wonder if Arriva London will transfer the SLS/SW class buses to the provinces? The ten Streetdecks (plus Midlands 4600):could be transferred to Yorkshire. As LDN haven't acquired more I assume there will be no more (diesel) Wrightbus and these are oddities in the fleet.

I’m not sure Yorkshire would want the SW’s given they’re not great and have had reliability issues. The SLS would all depend on whether the 410 & 450 were retained or not - if the 450 is retained, I’d expect it to keep its SLS regardless but the 410 is harder to predict given it has 12 reg ENS as well as SLS

It might be an idea to fit six cylinder engines to all 22 if transferred to Arriva Yorkshire. If the. SW have SIXES already then only the existing AY buses plus Arriva Midlands 4600 (if transferred) need altering.

I should have made it clear that 22 is the total number of Streetdecks with Arriva, with 24 due for Arriva Merseyside due in the new year
