Further to my last post regarding ex uk buses in Malta. We now have ex London Alexander Enviro 400's here converted to open top. As the base colour for the tour buses here is red they havent been repainted, you can still see the marks where the London Buses Roundel was and at least 1 still has its old Fleet number. Can recommend a visit here for anyone with an interest in transport once the current Corona restrictions are lifted. There are now tours using the old Malta buses from the 50's to the 70's including a very unusual ( at least to me ) Duple bus. Also here ( but havent seen recently) an ex London Swift partially rebodied . Also even though it closed in 1931 there are still traces of the old railway for those who want to search. Dont just take it from me so much here for all interested in transport to enjoy and remember we drive on the left. Come and see for yourself.

I went to Malta in 2013 as part of a university field trip. We used the local bus network to travel around, which was then operated by Arriva. Travelling in an ex-Arriva London articulated Citaro at high speeds down bendy hilly narrow roads was quite the experience!
It is a country i'd like to revisit again, and see how the transport network is now. Its also great for historical buildings, and the culture is fascinating with its mix of Arabic and European influences. You can see evidence of its British colonial past too with the phone and post boxes.
