I was lost with the thread title and thought deckers have been on the 20 for years As with regards speed limits, plenty of cameras, plus new ISA (Intelligent Speed Assist) I think has been installed on many buses. As Lockdown ends, the usual choked traffic and roadworks will take care of the rest in central London

Will be impossible to police - drivers to use discretion for example if already 18 onboard and a family of 4 wish to board.
I know for a fact this will not work in my part of east London.
I look forward to being told off again after my early post!

No one is ever gonna get anywhere now. All the buses will just be going past the stops.

I believe the ISA system is only fitted on new buses (barring trials), although there appears to be plans to in time retrofit them on existing buses.

ISA is fitted to many B5LH's, if not all, across London

On my way back from work I saw a N55 in Oxford Circus with a yellow sign at the front with the words along the line of Bus is full. I assume this in preparation for the morning.

Daytime routes on high frequency may just get away with this. How do Tfl expect a night route every 30 mins packed with key workers to cope ?
I will be watching this closely. I understand the need for social distancing , although I do have my own reservations about whether it needs to be 2m. Cutting capacity formally like this will lead to problems, both for the drivers , police who will be no doubt be called when would be passengers get angry , and key workers being late for work in the morning because their only means of transport at 4am sails past their bus stop.
Things will be worse still when shops open on the 15th June.

Obviously this is all far from perfect but 2m is the required distance at the moment and TfL can only do their best under the circumstances. I have avoided using public transport since the restrictions started and it's up to other people to do the same unless their journey is essential but inevitably people are going to be left behind.

How does someone traveling from somewhere in the middle of no where like Knockholt, Halstead, Cudham etc get to work in Orpington on the R5/R10 when the bus whizzes past them because it already has more than 6 passengers on it? They have an hour and a half to wait for the next one that may also be full. Or what about someone trying to get to work in Romford from Havering-Atte-Bower or Stapleford Abbotts on the 375? They have to wait nearly 2 hours for the next one. Then they are late for work and have to spend half their wages on a cab.

If cuts are needed to be made, routes like these will be the most likely to go.

How can they afford to get anywhere? If you chose to live in a place with a country style bus service, it is a risk you take, as many rural communities outside of London have found to their cost.

What about the country villages that are within Greater London? Does TFL not have an obligation to provide bus services within so many miles of populated areas or something along those lines?
