23 Marylebone - Becontree Heath 9 Mortlake Garage - Becontree Heath 36 Queens Park - Hither Green 2 Golders Green - Crystal Palace 1 Trafalgar Square - Bromley Garage 53 Oxford Circus - Plumstead Common 230 Stratford - Manor House I it will be beter if it was
1 Willesden Bus Garage to bromley
2 North Finchley to Crystal Palace
53 Parliarment Hill Fields to Plumstesd Common
I would have your 53 go as far as Marylebone, and keep the route to Plumstead Station the same. It would mean the 453 would no longer be required however, meaning it could either be restructured or withdrawn. If the latter happened, the LT’s could be released to another GAL route.

The 53 would be far too long in today’s world and would inevitably fall to pieces which actually happens to the 453 at times and through no fault of Go-Ahead either.

I'd be surprised if the 53 ever reached central London again. I would say lack of stand space and the desire for hospital links that didn't stop the 53 being cut to Elephant & Castle.

18 London Bridge Station - Aldenham L.T. Works 59 West Hampstead - Old Coulsdon (Sundays only) 88 Acton Green - Banstead Hospital (although I suspect no journeys ever ran the full route!) 107 Queensbury Station - Brimsdown 142 Watford Junction - Kilburn Park Station 158 Watford Junction - Ruislip Lido 279 Smithfield - Waltham Cross 630 College Park - West Croydon 649 Liverpool Street Station (Bishopsgate) - Waltham Cross 669 North Woolwich - Chingford Mount There were quite a few through journeys on the 88 between Acton Green and Banstead Hospital. It was a common destination to be seen in the Shepherds Bush area pre January 1974. Equally on a Sunday morning or evening there were many 88s traversing the whole route from Acton Green to Belmont Station.

Brimsdown near Enfield had a power station and routes 34B 76 and 107 ran there..I think its Fish island now??

Fish Island is where Old Ford was Enfield Island Village (now served by 121 and 491) is on the site of the former Royal Small Arms factory. Brimsdown Power Station was a bit further south; the site is now a nondescript industrial area.

Bit of Trivia: before Enfield island Village was built, most of the land lay within the Epping Forest District Council area in Essex. The boundary was redrawn to locate the area within the London Borough of Enfield.

25 Becontree Heath to Victoria. I used to regularly ride on it when I was in my teens.
