Flixbus, the German company that markets a coach network across Europe including routes to and from London, entered the UK coach market on 2nd July. The first routes are based on London and operate to Birmingham, Bristol, Guildford and Portsmouth. The launch had been planned for earlier in the year but was put on hold due to covid-19. Flixbus does not own any coaches, but franchises the operations out to partners. The initial routes are operated by Turners Coaches of Bristol and by London-based operator Your Partner In Journey. It says there has been a lot of interest from operators who are said to be keen to work with Flixbus. Flixbus is ambitious and aspires to be the "market leader" for UK domestic coach travel by 2025. Flixbus also recommenced its international routes from London on 2nd July, after they were suspended due to covid-19. I've just tried to find out about the Bristol-London route on the Flixbus website - completely useless, I gave up in the end.
How are they going to get any customers if they don't allow people to find out when they run, let alone book a ticket?

I had heard of Flixbus as they acquired Megabus Europe from Stagecoach. Flixbus could now compete with Stagecoach Megabus UK, as well as National Express.

Having withdrawn operations last year, it looks like they will be back from next Thursday. The following routes appear in the journey planner from 15th April, however in the absence of a map it's all a bit hit and miss just typing in random origin and destination points, so the actual routes may well be longer (or indeed others not yet 'found').
Edinburgh Airport, Inverkeithing, Dunfermline
Luton Airport, Dunstable
Victoria, Heathrow, Newport, Cardiff, Bridgend, Swansea University, Swansea
Victoria, Hammersmith, Heathrow, Bristol University, Bristol

Looks like it might actually be a case of Edinburgh Airport to Dunfermline and Luton Airport to Dunstable are just selling of tickets for Stagecoach 747 and Arriva Greenline 757 respectively. |

Flixbus has expanded again, and is now serving Glasgow and Edinburgh, its first destinations in Scotland. Scottish operator McGill's has joined the roster of Flixbus operators, its first venture into long-distance coaching, and has invested in a fleet of Volvo 9700 coaches which will appear in Flixbus allover green.
Other new destinations include Chippenham and Bath; Chesterfield; Sunderland and Newcastle; and Leamington Spa and Coventry.

Reviving this thread with news that Flixbus and partner McGill's are introducing a "temporary" Glasgow-London service, which will run every day until October. The stated aim of the service is to help passengers to avoid rail strikes and "airport chaos". The service will be up and running in time for the start of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival on 5th August.

Flixbus now has a Manchester - Paris through service. Unusually it has two pick-ups in London, at Stratford City (Montfitchet Road) and North Greenwich (Millennium Way). The coach also stops in Birmingham and at Trumpington Park & Ride, Cambridge.
The coach leaves Manchester at 17.00 and arrives in Paris at 08.40 the next morning. The coach departs Stratford at 22.15 and North Greenwich at 22.40. The return journey leave Paris at 22.15, calls at the London stops just after 06.00 and arrives in Manchester at 11.55.
