RATP’s bubbles moquette was one of few where some thought of design was implemented. It was such a shame they reverted to the current bland offering. Even when faded, it didn’t look bad.
My other favourites are the moquette for Arriva HAs/CT Plus/Sullivan’s and the moquette on the 413’s MCLs.
Arriva’s moquette is nice, but only works well with ivory poles. That shade of blue and yellow just don’t go. It’s a shame most of the MMCs sport yellow poles.
I quite like Abellio’s moquette and interior. Looks smart.
The current RATP moquette is rather boring. It does not fit well with yellow poles either. Riding the 28 will soon be a headache, unless the smart red and yellow is kept for the VHs.
Metroline’s moquette is nice, but a bit busy. On ex-First buses though, it looks bloody vile. The entire rainbow in a bus, and
not in a good way. Metroline on ex-First is possibly the worst interior of all buses.
GAL’s is quite nice too, but I actually prefer the First-palette moquette for their inherited stock (though it doesn’t fit the X26 buses as well).
Stagecoach’s is fine, wonder if it’ll change to coincide with their recent improved logo.
I like Tower Transit’s green poles, but the entire design just feels a tad too confused. I quite like the moquette though. The interior overall seems to work best in the DMVs.
I liked CT Plus’s moquette design before the standard TfL one - as in the buses that used to be on 153 and the sole E200 on the W5. Good use of their logo. I wish the extra buses for the W19 were refurbished as such!
It would have been nice to see UNO have a purple/pink moquette and interior - something a little unique, rather than the standard ADL moquette. I really like the purple hoop design seen in a few of its buses.
The main problem with First’s interior (still seen on a few buses) is that it fades, and fast. This makes it look very drab (this effect is especially pronounced with First) because when fresh and new it looks quite alright.
LTs are fine, but don’t hold up against the standard TfL moquette with roundels.
