The funding for extra school journeys (which is nationwide and not exclusive to London) was mandated by the UK Government and originally intended to be in place until 17th October. Seeing as keeping children in schools appears to be regarded as a priority for the Government I expect it to be extended until at least the end of this school term. That being Christmas or October HT? I assume Christmas as October is half term.

Oh god does the 256 need permanent decking. Most buses couldn’t cope with the restrictions. It’s ridiculous

I'd rather vote Khan in then if that's the choice I was left with! Katie Hopkins is one of those people who crave attention and say anything to make themselves heard no matter how absurd or dangerous it is that she says. Take kids names - she said she didn't like children with lower class names yet named her own child after a country. I used the word "like". As I mentioned in wirewiper s post I want someone who doesn't care about being judged not someone who always worries about getting judged and to fit in Whats this got to do with bus routes???

Are there any bus routes still operating with a reduced service due to Covid-19?

Are there any bus routes still operating with a reduced service due to Covid-19? Most routes were operating a full service by the end of August. The main exceptions are the weekend-only night routes which remain suspended. Robert Munster's www.londonbusroutes.net/covid.htm has attempted to cover as full a picture as possible of what was operating when.

Ok I was just wondering if the 521 is operating every 2-3 mins in the peaks and if that is still necessary given reduction in rail commuters to the City.

The 507 and 521 have been on a full timetable since 22nd August. Whether those levels of service are needed is a moot point - although don't forget that buses are supposed to be operating at reduced capacity to allow social distancing on board, and the cost of this is being underwritten by the Government as it is at their behest.

Surprised nobody has mentioned the X26 X26's at the Heathrow end are near empty, probably not surprising in the circumstances. Maybe suspend it west of Kingston and increase the service? Don't really want to be leaving people behind on a half hourly service.

If anything TfL should be looking at increasing it to every 20 minutes during the day and maintain the 30 minutes in the evenings.

At the moment I can't see much likelihood of increasing services without cutting something elsewhere. Is there any point in running the X68 at the moment? Move the 355 to Q and C will have the resources to increase the X26.

It doesn’t seem like a good use of public money to keep running certain Central London bus services running at full peak frequency when the rail commuters who would normally use them on arrival at the termini are staying at home. In the suburbs there is a need for peak time enhancements. Route 533 also needs enhancing according to postings on Twitter.
