I've combed this thread to find someone mention the W12 but no one has! Got no firm idea of the routing between Walthamstow Central and Whipps Cross & between South Woodford and Wanstead as it's too twisty. However it's to be noted the W12 trundling on Snaresbrook Road is very idillic and picturesque. Before the reroute in Hainult, I'd have nominated the 462 as a hard route to learn as well. However going via Fairlop first to reach Hainult and Grange Hill before Limes Farm gives more fluidity to the route IMO, and removes a double run as well for passengers who may or may not succumb to wrong blind syndrome. Just gotta remove the hail & ride along Beehive Lane the neighbours lobbied for and the 462 would be perfect! ππ Easiest round these parts is route 323. Before the electrics appeared, it was any and every spare driver on the route. Now that the E200 EVs are on the route, it's become more standardised as to who drives the 323. I'm very baffled by the W12 and I've rode the entire thing

Honorary mention also needs to be made about the 386. It goes everywhere

When I did the 67s At Ann's Road near Stamford Hill was a complete nightmare. I know there are double yellows on once side of the road now but back then the parking issues was a joke. Black boy lane is also a nightmare near West green road especially if another large vehicle is coming. I can imagine. I wonder how the LTs are able to get around it. It's been years since I last hopped on the 67. (2016 to be exact). I drove through there yesterday (St Ann's Road) the road is alot clearer now can't see any issues for the LTs. Black boy lane I don't know haven't driven down there in a very long time.

I pity if someone hops onto the bus near royal standard or old dover road (or on shooters hill road) if they want to go to Blackheath village. Would probably have aged by the time they get there

The W3 I feel as though I could drive that route (I would have to always remember NOT to turn right from the bus station at Finsbury Park) (if you know you know). I think I'd have to put my foot down when potentially going through Alexandra Park and slowly putting my foot on the brake when going down the gradient but other than that I think it could do it.
The 34 is another route (love that route) I think I can do. The only issues could be the traffic on the NCR.

The 329 is probably one of the easiest routes to drive. Literally staying on the same road.

I'm not a bus driver, but I might be in, what, 2030? I'd say that the easiest route to learn in at least Greenwich has to be the 129. It's too short and is hardly beneficial with its current length!

What about the W5 for one of the hardest? Archway to Crouch End is alright but the rest is hail and ride so it's pretty hard to not make a wrong turn.

A route's length has nothing what so ever to do with how beneficial a route is. The 129 was introduced as a secondary link from North Greenwich to Greenwich to relieve the 188 but also to provide a link from Millennium Leisure Park to Greenwich. Once Crossrail is introduced, the 129 is proposed to extend to Lewisham in place of the 180 which will bring further patronage and new links

I'd say it should be extended to East Dulwich or Dulwich Library via Brockley.
