consultations.tfl.gov.uk/buses/route-324/We have developed a proposal to extend bus route 324 from Stanmore station to Centennial Park in Elstree. This would enable the 324 to serve the bus stops at the Brockley Hill entrance to the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital. This is intended to create new links to the hospital and business park from Stanmore, including those who wish to interchange from the Jubilee line station. We do not propose to make any other changes to the route or frequency of the 324 and the 107 service, which serves the hospital entrance from Edgware.

From an enthusiast perspective, it's amusing to see a regular TfL bus service running onto the site of the old Aldenham Works.

A short but very useful extension, there have been calls for this since the 324 was introduced 10 years ago.

This will be first extension in years for a TFL route to go out of London hopefully more route will go out Centennial Park is only just over the border though, and the land it is built on (the site of the former Aldenham Bus Works) was part of the Borough of Harrow until the 1990s - the boundaries were redrawn to put the whole of Elstree Village into the same local authority (Hertsmere).

This will be first extension in years for a TFL route to go out of London hopefully more route will go out Very unlikely we will see more cross boundary routes - aside from the 439 & S2 (and the S2 only just goes into Surrey) in the Sutton consultation, the only reason the 324 will run into Hertfordshire is because it’s the first suitable place to turn a bus around. Realistically, if the hospital had a suitable turning point, it would of happened there instead.

That's what I think too, TfL probably also suspected it would be worthwhile turning the bus around somewhere which already had a roundabout present so minimal works would be needed to carried out. An additional advantage also would be people from Centennial Park using the route to get back into the Stanmore area should they live there.

The same applies to the recent enhancements of routes 404 (& proposal for the 434 being extended further within Tanbridge) - more about practical operating arrangements than demand for cross-border links. Indeed the 404(& 466) only terminates a short distance beyond the GLA boundary

I wish they extend the route the other way to Neasden because this replace the old 972 route

I wish they extend the route the other way to Neasden because this replace the old 972 route Not sure if the Welsh Harp terminus in Neasden needs a bus service, and the rest is covered by changing for the 182 at Brent Cross
