Would like to see the 690 turned into a regular route and extended to Wandsworth (or Putney Bridge?) as buses also get absolutely hammered along Garrat Lane around school kick out time so would relieve the 44/270 massively I'd fully support any extension to Wandsworth - like you say it would support the 44 & 270 and also create new local links too Not local BUT would it be better going up the A214?

Still creates links to Wandsworth?? And although the interchange between buses between Wandsworth & Clapham Junction & the 219 isn't the best, I would say it suffices enough

Running via Garrat Lane creates links to Wandsworth and stays away from Trinity Road which is prone to traffic jams

I'd number this route 437 and it may even give better links to Springfield Uni Hospital. Where would it terminate in Wandsworth?

Armoury Way already has a bus stand which is only used for curtailments so probably there

Was there any reason why all bus stops have been amended to simply say 'All school buses stop here' rather then 613, 627, 690 etc. I can kind of understand of multiple school routes stopped there but stops only served by one 6xx route seems a bit odd now.

I think it's because TfL want the V extras, and the school only alternatives to be classed as school buses to the public to deter them from boarding.

Results updated 4 Mar 2021 We received 69 responses to the consultation, 68 from the general public and one stakeholder reply. After analysing the consultation responses, we have decided to go ahead with our proposals to withdraw route 648 and reduce the frequency of route 646. Consideration will be given to re-timing the remaining 646 journeys to better meet school finish times. The 648 will be withdrawn following the last day of summer term 2020/21. The 646 will operate two journeys in the morning and two journeys in the afternoon from the start of school term in September 2021. You can view our consultation summary below. consultations.tfl.gov.uk/buses/route-648/user_uploads/route-648-646-consultation-summary.pdf

I might have expected an extra schoolday journey each way on the 248* but TfL seems to be suggesting that existing capacity is adequate. * on a permanent basis, not just for social distancing capacity
