I remember when it was about 10 years ago or so before we get the countdown app on phone check.
It was snow and suddenly snow turn into very heavy pouring in. So I decided to get the local bus 162 to home from Eltham which normally takes me about 20 mins.
That turned into a one hour and a half time journey, it takes because of heavy snow and very slow-moving on the road.
That how I felt that journey take forever and I feel sorry for the bus driver as well because of his drive hours time!

September 2nd 31 from Camden Town to White City
Took about 1 hour 55 minutes because of such bad traffic it was horrible I should of just got the 94 instead
Another one which was 1 hour 40 minutes was the 189 from Brent Cross to Baker Street because of traffic literally everywhere didn’t exceed over 10mph anywhere

2 hours and 54 minutes to get from Vanbrugh Hill to Belvedere on a 180 about 2 years ago on a day when Dartford Tunnel, Rotherhithe Tunnel and the Woolwich Ferry all closed on a single day. I lost a whole rounder (which is a 3 hour round trip on a 180).
I should have gone from Vanbrugh Hill -> BV -> LW -> BV -> Vanbrugh Hill. In the end I just went from Vanbrugh Hill to BV and back to Vanbrugh Hill.

2 hours exactly to get from Friern Barnet town hall to London Bridge, one Saturday in early 1999. Traffic wasn't particularly bad but the Metrobus concerned was an absolute dog that struggled to get into second gear. We kept getting overtaken by other 43s. But we were on a trip for a trip's sake and my travelling companions weren't bothered about changing (or perhaps one of us was on a single fare) so we stuck it out. In hindsight I'm not sure why the driver didn't take it out of service.
Have had a few 279 journeys from Waltham Cross back to (almost) Manor House and vice versa that have broken 90 minutes. In the last few years of making that journey I switched over to 217/67 instead - less soul shattering.
2 hours 25 minutes on an end-to-ender on the 53 when it ran Oxford Circus to Plumstead, 90 minutes of which involved getting from the top of Regent Street to New Cross, then getting across Blackheath with the A102/Sun-in-the-Sands borked - another 30 minutes to Charlton triangle. That was in 2001 and I haven't used the 53 since.
Longest outside London: 4 hours 15 minutes on a 700 from The Hard in Portsmouth to Churchill Square in Brighton, in 2006. Volvo Olympian (Voith). Now (sensibly?) split into no less than 3 sections. 2 hours 20 minutes on a First Scania Wright thing from Carlisle to Galashiels on the X95 (which carried on to Edinburgh, 100+ miles!), much of it flat out on the fast A7.

Has to be the 111 for me. About 5-6 years ago when I was still in school it took me 2 hours 45 minutes to get from Cromwell Road to Heston. Usually if I caught the 3:35 bus I’d have just missed all the traffic through Hounslow and Lampton but unfortunately due to an accident down by Hampton Court we were diverted through Teddington. This meant that not only were we caught in the traffic caused by all the diverted traffic, but by the time we made it to Whitton the evening rush hour had begun and it took an absolute age to get down Hanworth Road. Soon after this nightmare journey I made the switch the the 65 and H91 to get home but in recent years that hasn’t been much better.
I would never take the bus if I had to get to Kingston now as I have since got my driving license.

It’s taken me 2 hours to get from Sidcup to Bluewater on the 492 before when there has been traffic jams on the A2 and Dartford Crossing.

It’s taken me 2 hours to get from Sidcup to Bluewater on the 492 before when there has been traffic jams on the A2 and Dartford Crossing. I've had similar journeys on the 492 before when traffic was bad, if I'd been in a hurry I'd have used the train instead, only about 20 minutes Sidcup to Greenhithe. I also remember a 2 hour plus journey on a 75 from Croydon to Catford a few years ago in heavy snow.

Phoned up the TfL help line who spoke to the operator, who said buses sere being turned at Catford due tips an incident, but were sending a bus down to Lewisham! 5 minutes later a bus blinded for 75 drove the other way to Lewisham Station. Thank you Citigroup for moving me from Docklands to Lewisham!

Despite all the routes I use such as the 25 and 205, the route that holds my record is the 368 spent over two hours on a bus once when someone jumped off a bridge on the A13 and sent all of East London into total gridlock, the whole A13 was shut from Dagenham Asda to the Beckton roundabout and the A406 was a standstill up to North London. remember that, took me hours to get into work. Got there just in time to pick up the second half of my shift

Interesting.
Not sure if this counts, but I've been on the Oxford Tube a few years ago which was around 1h30m I think from London to Oxford

On a Scania on the 96 from Woolwich to Plumstead. Only a short trip but it seemed like an eternity.

N9 from Isleworth to Aldwych followed a few minutes later by N551 to Beckton DLR depot - takes 1h 55mins - about 1h 45 on the buses - love being up front on top of an LT and the N551 which squeezes down some tiny roads between Canning Town & Prince Regent.
