The 333 will definitely survive though as it provides valuable capacity along the core Streatham to Brixton section. Whilst the 50 and 255 turn off early and the 59 only comes down as far as Telford Avenue, like with the full length old Kent Road routes they are all very busy feeding into the main objective of Brixton Station.

Even in 2003 when traffic wasn't as sniffling as now (no cycle lanes, private higher was much less prevalent abd no Uber style) it was still sensible to separate the Tooting end from the City and create the 333.

Well Boris possibly saw it to be self sufficient and it would have possibly been if he continued as mayor. If we never had the fares freeze, fast food and beach body ready type advert bans, they would have not gone in the red even before the pandemic. If Khan was not so arrogant there could have been a reversal or otherwise with subsidy. Khan is typical of biting the hand that feeds him. Lol, Boris didn't see anything so please don't wash over his mistake and it's pretty clear to see that the decision he took with the government has massively backfired. Khan has made big errors of which I pointed out his two biggest ones in the fares freeze and hopper fare which despite giving me benefits, also presents revenue gaps that hinder investment. So whilst you haven't said it, if you going to label me as anti Boris or pro Khan, please don't because I've previously voted for Boris and have never voted for Khan just like referring to us who want less congestion and who never suggested removing cars entirely as 'anti-car' - there seems to be a trend of sticking certain labels out there so thought I'd get over with ASAP I am surprised you did not vote Khan last election.

Key issue being the 382 would still need to stop at bus stops and is subject to people waiting a certain frequency. While in a car these factors do not exist. But the 382 can be rammed most of the day between Finchley & Southgate and could do with longer single deckers so it shows people are willing to wait longer and to attract more custom I'd increase the freq. The road layout is tight to warrant bigger single deckers though. The section between New Southgate and Arnos Grove, also the islands on Squires Lane has some very tight bits where parked cars used to be up to the islands. i do not know if this has changed. Have not been through that part in around 10 years now.

Why? I couldn't honestly vote for someone whose main pledge effectively reduces revenue for the bus network at a time when there is no subsidy.

Have not been through that part in around 10 years now. Your memory is good. Those two sections can still be a right pain. On Squires Lane, there is one island which has an adjacent parking cage, which if fully occupied, would make it impossible to get anything bigger than a car through. Fortunately nobody parks right to the edge.

I know and I would be absolutely against it though I was only asking if it could be a possibility they would look at it.

More central routes are at risk like the 17 and 43!

So has the 43 but that was mentioned as in line for a reduction and maybe even a curtailment.
