To those who celebrate hope you had a Great Christmas.
Was lucky to have two weeks off just before Christmas and started watching the Traitors which was on BBC1 but now on Iplayer. Would honestly say that it's one of the best things I've watched this year really interesting. The game is really simple Twenty Two people are taken to a Scotish Castle 3 are picked at traitors (these people murder the faithfuls) the others are faithfuls, it's up for the faithfuls to get rid of the traitors by banishing them. So if you want to take a break from the forum or just want something to watch this is my recommendation.
Wishing you all a very Happy New Year.

Channel 4 have announced that Hollyoaks will go from five to three episodes each week, as well as the episode lengths going from thirty minutes to twenty minutes this September. This will result in 135 job losses. www.digitalspy.com/soaps/hollyoaks/a60024238/hollyoaks-cut-three-episodes/This is pretty much the "life support" stage in which if viewing figures don't improve, the show will probably be axed entirely. Channel 4 no longer airing it hasn't helped matters either. I suppose it's a sign of the times with TV shows shifting to streaming, more entertainment options becoming available and the attention span of today. However considering that Hollyoaks have been around since 1995 as one of the main soaps, this is sad to hear. I personally lost interest in the show back in 2015 because of its quality going downhill (deaths and other tragedies occurring every week, nonsensical writing, the McQueens gaining new family members all the time, the poor acting etc) which differed massively from the good storylines revolving around Ste, Warren, Silas, Sienna, Brendan and Clare Devine to name a few which all happened between the mid to late 2000's and mid 2010's.

Gosh, I remember religiously watching Hollyoaks during my late teens and uni days before I started 9-5. Stopped watching altogether post pandemic lockdown. Can’t remember why though, but it did feel like it had an ultra aggressive death count in comparison to even Eastenders in its dark years. I assume I haven’t missed much during after 2021 except for… well more people getting murdered or attempted . Sad to hear this, as it always had a unique setting and was good on highlighting issues . I guess my main complaint and target audience more likely to move away altogether from TV channels altogether. I admit watching TV is a prehistoric activity my end also.
