Just got this email from tfl “A limited DLR service is operating between Custom House and Beckton today because of damage to the track in the Cyprus area. In order to repair the faulty track, there will be no DLR service between Canning Town and Beckton from 19:00 this evening. A limited replacement bus service will operate calling at all affected stations. Please use local or replacement bus services for alternative routes. The rest of the DLR network is unaffected by this fault” Seen some very busy 474s this evening as a result of the disruption. DLR trains seem to be running only to Custom House? Is there a shuttle from there to Beckton until 7pm? Would guess Ensign will do the emergency rail replacement but will confirm when I see buses later.

I had to go from North Greenwich to Canning Town and must be the first time since covid that I had people squashed against the door

The emergency rail replacement service between Beckton and Canning Town is very limited as expected considering the short notice! Most passengers seem to opting for the 474 which will probably drop passengers closer to home despite not being direct from Canning Town.

Very exciting to see these units progress. Still hugely keen on the livery.

Stadler seems to have done a better job with the Nexus Metro stock. to be fair, it's a product for a completely different type of operation. As long as the new B23 fleet drives well, the Aircon works in the summer, they're warm at 0430 on a cold Monday morning and all the equipment on board works as it should....

I can see the similarities to the 1940s Waterloo & City stock 😂😂 but overall I think they look decent would rather the DLR reverted to the original Blue and Red livery though (Blue for the Docks and Red for London ) but we are where we are they Grey/Green doesn't look so bad , Also in the article it says about Goa3 and Goa4 , is Goa3 like the central and vic lines automation with driver in DLR case PSA "Driving" the train ? And quite interesting it says about Goa4 , does this mean that the trains might see full automation in their lifetime ? I don't think so , I don't think us Londoners would like it and the UK isn't quite ready for it yet that said though I believe in Paris there is a fully automated railway line without a driver or a member of staff on board.

All DLR trains are GoA4 compatible. I don't think there will be any conversions to GoA4 of any existing rail line any time soon

I believe in Paris there is a fully automated railway line without a driver or a member of staff on board. Two lines on the Paris Métro : 1 and 14 are fully automated, and line 4 has just started its similar conversion. The new lines 15, 16, 17 and 18 will also be fully automated and there are proposals to convert line 13 similarly.
