The video was provided by a member via YouTube from a Facebook group dedicated to MCW Metrobuses. In the YouTube video it shows a a MCW Metrobus on the 83 at Golders Green bus station that has overheated. Reminds me of the one time I overheated a Metrobus by holding the 2nd gear whilst coasting down Dog's kennel Hill on the 37¹, the engine revving beyond 2200rpm. Had done so twice during the two rounders where she eventually started chucking out water. Suffice to say I didn't try that again with my next Metrobus in case i blew that one as well, the engineers likely sussing then what I was doing. The reason I did it in the 1st place was after once riding a Titan on the 176 where that driver went down the hill in 2nd gear, where I was then amazed on how high the engine was capable of revving. This is bearing in mind 2nd gear in a Titan has different ratio and gearbox design to that of the Metro. ¹ - then on diversion away from Half Moon Lane
