Just thought I'd put this here for a bit of fun what are you're "stalker buses? Mine is HV59 every time I am waiting for a 29 that always comes first or i see it when I'm on my travels.

Excellent thread was thinking about this very topic sometime back.
Mine is GAL E173 can't seem to escape this bus. Was even easier to spot it when it was running around with a faulty side blind that displayed Little Ilford Lane instead of Ilford!

14129 and 10314 seems to be my two, pretty much always seem to get them on the 173 or 62. I've probably got one LT I end up on all the time too but I don't even pay attention to the fleet number of most buses these days when I get on

I don't have a "stalker" bus (not yet, anyway) but when I lived in London I had two "lucky buses" and seeing them meant I was going to have a good day. They were CT Plus's HTL 8 which I realised I had photographed completely by chance on two different routes; and Arriva's DW 523 as that was my membership number in a club I belong to.
So I'm a sad git. Sue me.

Arriva's T280 is mine, almost everywhere I go, I manage to see it, both in images and in real life.

For a while, it was E57 even when it moved from SW to AL and then eventually found it's way back to SW, still my favourite ZF Enviro 400

I always seem to run into SP1 (YN56FCA). Also frequently run into VH45257 (LC67ADV).

I managed to get TE721 on the SWR replacement 2 weeks ago it still sounds like they haven't touched it since it was in TfL service.!

The VHP's. Whenever I take the 37, somehow more often than not one of the only 2 VHP's turn up instead of the many E's which I prefer

The VHP's. Whenever I take the 37, somehow more often than not one of the only 2 VHP's turn up instead of the many E's which I prefer They have proved to be my anti-stalker buses ........... every time I've tried to photograph them ........ traffic going the other way .................. just missed them departing in the Peckham direction when in Putney or Clapham ................ etc etc ...................... finally today just sheer bloodymindedness kept me at Putney heath for 3 hours waiting their return .......... even then the feckin Sun disappeared as both appeared and the Driver of VHP1 stuck it on the shite stand next to the temporary bog !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Consoled myself with 2 pints of "Proper Job" in The Green Man and a ride on SOE20 (I love Optare Esteems) back to Richmond on the 493 later and a resolution to do better with these two. 👍 Stalker Bus = WH31105 😒

I do often see them passing around Clapham or Brixton. When they were new, weren't they allocated to specific duties as well?
