Simplification is the name of the game. I know its a bit different but passengers manage fine with short working tube lines so don't understand why buses have to be standard end to end at all times of the day. I think Short Workings are a good idea, the 25 and 221 managed fine and the 38 still does. It'll allow better use of resources too and could even allow money to be saved.

I think the 112 copes fine east of Brent Cross so I don't know why they would be needed for the full 112?
I think the 206/226 probably needs them more.
TfL don't like short workings so would utilise them for the full route even if the extra capacity is only needed between Ealing and Brent Cross. Also, the 112 iirc worked from PV but the 206/226 have never done so. 206 has worked from PV before
