I thought I'd create a list of all of the bus routes expecting or already received PVR cuts in Central London: Route: PVR reduction - Date 2: 3 - 28/08/2021 7: 6 - 28/08/2021 9: 4 - 28/08/2021 13: 9 - 13/11/2021 16: 4 - 28/08/2021 27: 5 - 28/08/2021 28: 4 - 01/05/2021 30: 4 - 28/08/2021 43: 6 - 28/08/2021 49: 5 - 04/09/2021 55: 5 - 24/07/2021 and/or 26/02/2022 56: 3 - 24/07/2021 and/or 26/02/2022 113: 5 - 28/08/2021 148: 7 - 28/08/2021 156: 1 - 11/09/2021 253: 4 - 04/09/2021 254: 5 - 04/09/2021 328: 4 - 01/05/2021 344: 4 - 21/08/2021 414: 6 - 02/11/2021 507: 6 - 28/08/2021 521: 17 - 28/08/2021 Total Cut - 117 PVR (8 cut already) Remaining - 183 PVR Please correct me if I'm wrong This will reduce the total pvr on LT routes by 37, enough for the whole of route 111 and also potentially top up route 176.

BE37054 (quoll662) - The cut to the 328 by 5 buses was acutally from December 2018 and then one bus added to the new contract in May to restore its frequency from its temporary widened 11 minute headway to its normal 10 minute headway.

I believe the 18 lost 8 pvr in the last couple of years. That’s not connected to the 300 PVR cut which started this year

The 414 will probably go within a year or two of it being cut to Marble Arch. It won't provide any unique links and the 14, 6, 22 and 74 all provide links between some of the destinations. 14 and 6 should just get a frequency increase and withdraw the 414 because hardly anyone will notice because I bet most people who use it only because it came first as they have other alternatives particularly for short journeys

It will also increase Go-Ahead's "strangle-hold" on route 14, by making it harder for a rival bidder to win the route later.

Any operator could win the 14, Metroline could from KC, Abellio could from QB or RATP could from JE, it’s just that GAL have the advantage of a garage on route with no other major rival nearby. AF is comparable to AC in a sense, largely isolated with no other nearby rival operator depots. In terms of increases I would say potentially of +2 on the 6 and +3 on the 14 to replace the 414.

As you say hardly anyone would even notice the loss of the 414.

If the 414 goes mid contract TfL will then end with a similar situation to the 48 where Tower Transit likely have to be compensated with another route unless the contract awarded for the 414 has a condition attached that it could be withdrawn within the 5 year tender.

The current 414 contract expires in November. And Tower Transit have signed a new contract so they expect to operate the route and will require compensation if it doesn't happen.
