This maybe controversial but I would put the 414 as an express route? Why....
Well extend the 414 to Mortlake and it serves all stops to Barnes Red Lion turn left to Putney Common then stopping only at Putney Bridge, Fulham Broadway, South Kensington, Hyde Park Corner and terminate at Marble Arch...
This will help out the people in Barnes area to get to London and can remember many years ago there was a express bus from Barnes to London but can’t remember the route number...any help? With this I would withdraw the 378...what’s your thoughts?

Express routes work better in outer London like the X26 and X140 but the X68 also operates like your 414. Not sure how reliable the X68 operates though. If it wasn't for the low bridge at Barnes Bridge I would say that the 414 could operate from Mortlake to Marble Arch to give it purpose and distinguish it from the 14

Right, so none of this, apart from the confirmed changes from tender awards, is actually happening yet. Isn't it? Do you know something people who work for operators, who've had to produce revised schedules, don't know? My information came from @nightowl, who works for TfL.

Is it the 609 you're thinking of? Introduced after the 9 was curtailed at Hammersmith but lasted less than a year.

BE37054 (quoll662) - The cut to the 328 by 5 buses was acutally from December 2018 and then one bus added to the new contract in May to restore its frequency from its temporary widened 11 minute headway to its normal 10 minute headway. Thank you, this has been removed from the list as the list only pertains to routes cut since January 2021.

There is a bus stand by the Sheen Lane, Mortlake Station bus stop but my only reservation would be the awful traffic that is inflicted on that road since Hammersmith Bridge shut - nevertheless, an interesting idea

Yes this is the case, I remember also the 609 as the school bus as well. I personally feel bring the 414 even if it starts at Barnes Pond and use as express route as mentioned above because it will help out the problems people have in Barnes and also help out the 533.... it saves time going long way around to Hammersmith for the tube...

I want to see the 378 scrapped as it is frankly useless yes take either the 22 or 414 and extend it slightly. Another proposal I see could work is scrapping the 209 instead of the 378, the 378 could get back to Mortlake and I would have the 414 make a loop serving Barnes Bridge Station and then that going to Castlenau.

Not my local area but if the 378 is a waste what surely extending a route with a PVR of 22 running every 7 or 8 mins is even more wasteful.

Plus when the 209 was diverted to Putney Bridge running every 7-8 mins demand wasn't that high hence it being returned to Castlenau so not sure why the 414 would suddenly be more popular to connect to the tube.

The 378 doesn't even connect Mortlake to Putney Bridge now that it has been cut back to Barnes Pond, as vjaska said earlier.
