Are all these PVR cuts necessary?

Are all these PVR cuts necessary? Yes! Savings need to be made somehow. The big review has been pushed back to Autumn so probably not seen anything yet. PVR cuts are better than route cuts IMO.

I have strikethroughed all of the PVR cuts previously published on the TfL website as it seems that they have been cancelled. What will happen to the 111's LT's?

Same here but TfL removing them from the website says otherwise. You are really jumping the gun. It has been reported in several places the review has been out back until the Autumn and some are still going ahead this month like the 507 and 521. A magic money pot has not been found. As for the 111 LTs nothing has been confirmed either way and they are needed until April 2022 so plenty of time for a route to be found.

The list of timetable changes from 28 August that appeared here earlier in the week (https://tfl.gov.uk/modes/buses/bus-changes) has vanished. This is the second time as it they were removed on Wednesday only to reappear again briefly. I can only assume that either someone was a bit premature with posting it (after all, the changes are all of eight days away and you can't give advance warning), that there was an error in some of the information or (unlikely) the changes are not now going ahead.

But if enough LTs don't go to the 111 by next weekend then RATP won't have anything for the 49 and X140.

I have no idea about the 49 and X140 I guess they could loan existing buses if they are available.

Wishful thinking the cuts aren’t happening. I’d love that to be the case. Perhaps passenger numbers are rebounding at pace ? ?

It's clearly got nothing to with passenger numbers if they are cutting routes like the 2 & N9, just look for where they can save money regardless of the route involved it seems.

Also no apparent reasoning. Example, restoring N2 to x20 mins and reducing N9 to x 30 !

And once again I'm surprised how the 24 hasn't seen a reduction yet routes in a closer proximity like the 13 & 113 are now seeing quite large reductions.
