Here's a suggestion to iron out parts of the City Circles, and to extend the 11 from Pengam Green:
City Circle (1 & 2): to have the confusing Splott one-way system (kind of reminds me of Brent Park Tesco in London) removed and to be diverted via East Tyndall Street, Lewis Street, Ocean Way, Rover Way, Pengam Green Tesco and the 11 up to Roath, where it will go back to its existing route. Route 11: to be cut back to Rover Way, and extended to Rumney Quarry Dale via Lamby Way, Mardy Road, New Road and Quarry Dale.

Bore da! My Iaith Cymraeg is better than some but I'm not fluent alas.
South Wales Valleys could have formed a PTE in the 1970s. Cardiff, Newport, West Mon, Merthyr Tydfil, Caerphilly, Gelligaer , Pontypridd and Bedwas & Machen (I hope I've got them all correct). Its obviously wasn't seriously considered or was dismissed at the time. Deregulation would have kyboshed it. Naming the PTE would have been a problem as "South Wales" was pre existing..I must conclude by pointing out that only Cardiff and Newport exist in 2022.
Speaking of Welsh translation, Newport in Welsh is Castell Newydd which translates back to English as NEWCASTLE.
