Proposals for an east-west tram-style service linking Herts to Essex
" The proposal, put forward by Hertfordshire County Council is linked to plans for around 100,000 new homes to be built along the A414 Corridor. This main road runs from Harlow (to the east of Hertfordshire’s boundary with Essex) to the south of St Albans, where it separates with one leg running to Hemel Hempstead and the other running through to Watford " www.ianvisits.co.uk/blog/2021/07/27/proposals-for-an-east-west-tram-style-service-linking-herts-to-essex/

That sounds really cool. I’ve always thought something similar connecting Kent (Dartford, Bluewater, Gravesend etc) with Essex (Lakeside, Grays, Tilbury etc) over/under the Thames would be so useful.

Does anyone know when The Trafford Centre Line is going to be extended into Manchester City Centre? And when it does is going to go via which city crossing?

Does anyone know when The Trafford Centre Line is going to be extended into Manchester City Centre? And when it does is going to go via which city crossing? Wrong thread but it's Crumpsall via Exchange Square as far as I know. I don't know the start date, I thought it was supposed to commence at the end of last year.

Wrong thread, but just seeing this post takes me back to a few months ago (when I was on holiday in Manchester and The Trafford Centre was my local tram stop).
