The 117’s final Evolution! (DM965)

DM965 was (is as I’m writing this!) the final MCV Evolution to appear on the 117. Rumours have been circulating that they’ll be withdrawn, but I hope not since they make a change amongst the standard DEs or DELs!

This was actually my first time riding one, and if I’m perfectly honest it does sound like they have chassis issues! (Yes it’s another rumour!)

The photos below are quite large so they will take a while to load!

I didn't want to quote the pictures but honestly, it has to be the worst terminus going. I got caught out here as I did a 117 recently to catch the 481 from the hospital. The 117 driver dropped me here as the normal stop is closed but nothing actually picks up here despite the building having life next to the terminus hence I missed a 481 and had a 30 minute wait.

I would not be satisfied; where are the 481's temp. terminus?

I've only been on three or four of these and in my opinion they are some of the best SDs I've been one. I had my first DM (can't remember which one) on the 117 in around 2016 and about three on the 235 in 2021.

Sad there are no Evorae in London. I will really miss them on the 190. I went to Richmond yesterday to get a DM and a MCM.  Got neither.
