Ah yes, Fantasy. What we want, eh? This is going to be a thread for ideas we have for TfL’s and NR Train services in/around London. This includes the Underground, Overground, DLR, Trams, and Elizabeth Line.
I’ll go first:
London Overground/c2c new Station: Castle Green Zone: 4 Between Barking and Barking Riverside/Dagenham Dock
Elizabeth Line new Station: Becontree Heath Zone: 5 Between Chadwell Heath and Romford
Extension of the DLR from Gallions Reach to Abbey Wood, calling at: Gallions Reach - 3 Beckton Riverside - 3 Creekmouth - 4 Barking Riverside - 4 Thamesmead North - 4 Thamesmead South - 4 Abbey Wood - 4
Re-opened c2c station/re-furbished District Line Station: Dagenham East Zone: 5 Now with step-free access.

Can we include tram routes? I would like to see a tram from Harrow to Heathrow Airport, running along the X140 route to Hayes, then with two branches:
- via Harlington to Hatton Cross, Terminal 4, Cargo Centre and Terminal 5 (and could possibly loop back via Bath Road to Harlington Corner) - via M4 spur (dedicated bus and tram lane) and in tunnel to Central Area with a loop serving Terminals 2 and 3 and bus station (and also Terminal 1 when rebuilt).
There are possibilities beyond Harrow, e.g. Edgware and Wembley which are both poorly connected to Heathrow Airport.
As much of the route as possible would be on its own reserved right-of-way, possibly shared with bus services in some locations.

As well as the Bakerloo line extension to Lewisham, re-visit some of the alternative routing with a branch via Walworth, Camberwell, Peckham, Nunhead terminating at Catford

As posted in other National Rail thread
I would go as far as double track the entire section between Epping and Ongar with Central line services running up to Ongar as it should have been intended; no more cheapo poverty spec measures with 8 carriage 1992 stock. Possible extend the line from Ongar to Brentwood or Chelmsford
The planned Northern Heights program on the Northern line to build Mill Hill East to Bushey via Edgware.
Central line extension to Denham
Waterloo & City line extension from Bank, Shoreditch High Street, Baring Street, Newington Green, Finsbury Park, used old Northern City Line track Stroud Green, Crouch End, Highgate, Cranley Gardens, Muswell Hill, Alexandra Palace

If the line was to continue ahead the station corridors would get in the way, while on top of it you have the Central Line and below it you have the Northern and DLR

Bakerloo Line
Once ‘extended’ to Lewisham I would have the following branches; Bromley North calling at: Hither Green, Grove Park, Sunbridge Prk & Bromley North Hayes via Catford Bridge Beckenham Junction via Catford Bridge
Northern Line
Extended from Battersea Power Stn to Clapham Junction
Victoria Line
Extended from Brixton via Herne Hill & Tulse Hill

It’s more western than the very old proposed Crowlands station (Becontree Heath being in Barking & Dagenham rather than Havering), plus local easy to access routes like the 173 and 499.

Extend the Victoria line to Ilford from Walthamstow Central. Stations served would be Whipps Cross roundabout (with a link at the next end of the platform to the hospital), Wanstead Station, Aldersbrook

Extend the Northern Line beyond Morden to Sutton, which was the original plan prior to it being settled for Morden. Whilst on that line restructure Clapham Common and Clapham North's island platforms to that of the new Nine Elms Tube Station.
Extend the District Line beyond Wimbledon to Chessington South.

Just thought I’d put more ideas. Extension of the DLR from Barking Riverside to Dagenham Dock, calling at: Barking Riverside (Overground) - 4 Goresbrook - 5 Dagenham Dock (c2c) - 5 Extension of the Elizabeth Line from Shenfield to Chelmsford. Extension of the Central Line to Ongar, calling at: Epping - 6/7 North Weald - 7 Ongar - 7

I’d do much more with the Trams. I’d extend the route from Beckenham Junction through Shortlands to Bromley North with a loop around Bromley Town Centre similar to the loop in Croydon. I’d also go further from Bromley to Bexleyheath following the 269 route through Bickley, Chislehurst, Sidcup, Albany Park and Bexley. I’d replace the Southern services between Beckenham Junction, Birkbeck and Crystal Palace with Trams from Bromley. I’d also do routes from Croydon to Sutton and Kingston. I’d extend from Elmers End to Hayes through Eden Park and West Wickham and then further on to Orpington through Keston and Locksbottom. I’d also extend from New Addington to Biggin Hill and Westerham.
I’d extend the Victoria Line from Brixton to Croydon via Streatham. I’d extend the Bakerloo Line from Elephant & Castle to Lewisham via Old Kent Road & New Cross, and then to Bromley North via Grove Park and to Dartford both via Bexleyheath and via Sidcup. I’d extend the Elizabeth Line from Abbey Wood to Dartford. I’d extend the DLR from the Beckton branch to Thamesmead, Abbey Wood and Bexleyheath, from Woolwich Arsenal to Eltham, and from Lewisham to Hayes via Catford Bridge (running along side my Tram extentiom from Elmers End to Hayes). I think outer South East and South West London deserves a better transport network.
