A bit late to post this, but just for those that don't know.
Consultation update 1 December 2021
Between 17 September and 15 October 2021, we held a public consultation on a proposal affecting bus routes 212, 357 and 657 at Hatch Lane, Chingford. You can read more about our proposals below.
We received 50 responses to the consultation. Thank you to all those who took part. Please see our consultation summary report in the ‘Documents’ section for further details, including our response to issues raised.
After careful consideration, we have decided to proceed with the proposed changes to bus routes 212, 357 and 657 at Hatch Lane, Chingford. Subject to completing road works to install a new bus stop, we would like to introduce this service change in early 2022.

I don't see how much time would be saved by removing that stop on Hatch Lane and putting a new one on the A1009 even if that stop isn't well used

I’m not local but how much time will this save? Not more than a few seconds I think?

Probably a silly suggestion and there's an obvious reason why they couldn't do it but couldn't let's say the 212 divert and the 357 stay the same? Would give anyone one particularly at night who really didn't want to cross the green the option to wait for a 357 or vice versa if only the 212 stayed the same.

Personally, I can't believe they're wasting money on such a change at a time when finances are tight when the benefits are incredibly minimal at best. As I said before, they may as well not bother having consultations as they are merely tick box excercises rather than actually listening to people's views and enacting on the changes that people actually want.

This is a silly consultation, saves no money at all because you end up saving 30 seconds per journey which isn't saving any time really

One of the more baffling consultations and changes. There must be another factor like safety or residents complaining or council worker. WHy would TfL been alerted to this unless they did an incredibly detailed review of the area? Maybe there is a regular TfL/WF person who takes the 357 and has slowly campaigned for it not to serve Walthamstow Central, got rid of the roundabout at Whipps Cross and now this... Dont be surprised to see the X357 soon.

Dont be surprised to see the X357 soon. The more I deal with them the more I think that TfL are influenced by certain people on their staff living in certain areas/taking certain routes and by lobbying from special interest groups. I imagine a lot of these decisions are made under the table. In the meeting about the 384 removal they made a big thing about how some of the people making the decisions lived in the BOROUGH of Barnet (not actually in Barnet) and then proceeded to discuss all the wonderful extensions they were making in Finchley such as the 125 and 112. So I wouldn't be surprised if this was also one of their staff's pet-routes/areas.
