Looks like it's hit the buffers - possibly slippery rails first thing in the morning? (It is the time of year for it)

Track adhesion does seem the likely cause, the train reportedly entered the station at normal speed. At least the buffers did their job.

Quite shocking. It is reported that two were injured and I wish them well. Minor injuries thankfully, driver was treated for shock. Probably what greatly helped was the train was only doing 7mph at the time of the incident accounting for the fact it was at the end of the line

Even so if they wasn't there we would be talking about fatalities I honestly don't think there would of been fatalities considering it was going at just 7 mph even before it hit the buffers - possible more people suffering injuries than the 2 who suffered minor ones.

Because of the Moorgate train crash, train entering a terminus (TETs) it is a requirement that trains come in slowly, if the train driver didn't slow the train down the signalling will and has speed control in the system - this could have saved many lives too.

Safety improvements since the Moorgate disaster mean that the worst we're likely to get is what happened yesterday, two people treated at the scene for very minor injuries. Services have now resumed to and from Enfield Town.

Plot twist, apparently the driver has tested positive for cocaine. Take that as you will but beginning to look less like an accident and more like a criminal incident.

The Peckham rye fiasco that occurred in 2017 really put the company in a bad light and now this has happened. Oh boy it's not looking good for them
