Mellor is expanding their offering into the midi-bus sector with the new all-electric Sigma. It is available in lengths from 7-12m and GVWs from 8-19 tonnes. They also mention width and passenger door configuration options as well.
It seems obvious to me that are taking aim at ADL's BYD E200EV and possibly convert some diesel E200MMC buyers. The smallest bus shown in the graphic looks like it could be a competitor to the Optare Solo if the range is decent.
Mellor are well known in the van conversion sector, it will be interesting to see how their buses fair in the more "heavy duty/use" bus market. Hopefully some London operators will trial some of these so we can have a ride!
It is good to see so many new buses and manufacturers entering the market. It had become a bit boring with the ubiquitous ADL and Wrightbus options. Now we have the likes of Arrival, Mellor, Equipmake Beulas and others making an appearance.

With the W5 and W12 coming up soon, and other routes they could nab, I could see HCT going with this company as they have loads of shorter models suitable for the W12. The range is 160 miles. The 8m and 9m options are interestingly DF, so I could see it being popular over the Solo, only available in WF. (I know there's now the Electric MetroCity in 8.7m)

It seems the 6.99m (7) is aimed at congested or medieval towns as only 2.08m wide The 8.50m (8) and 9.20m (9) versions seem to be slimline at 2.35m wide The 10.25m (10) version is 2.475m wide The 10.95m (11) and 11.975m (12) versions are 2.55m wide, share a 5.85m wheelbase, the 12m has longer overhangs Mellor Sigma brochure link
