Sorry if any are missing, such as the VE and EHV. Polls can't be edited unfortunately.

Citaro K and OmniCity
If the OmniCity didn't exist I would choose the Enviro 400 (Original)

Is there an option for the B5LH MMC?

Is there an option for the B5LH MMC? Nope, OP missed it out when constructing the poll. I voted for the B9TL simply because when you get a good one, you sure know about. They can go from very sedate to suddenly treating a hill like a straight road.

They can go from very sedate to suddenly treating a hill like a straight road. Couldn't agree with you more. I'm a regular B9TL user, whether it be the 81 (majority of the time) or 237/E8. Though it also depends on the driver too, e.g I though VW1830 and VW1378 was pretty slow until I got the right driver! If you're looking for a fun one to ride, I'd highly recommend VW1387 (the fire repaired damaged one) I am still yet to be convinced about the B9TL. Think the problem is the majority have no natural kickdown. To me they are just boring, no sweet revving like how a B7TL would do with kickdown. I was on a DB300; DW249, the other day it left the B9TL for dust. I have heard the excuse for hills with the B9TL, but what is the point when the majority of roads are flat.

What excuse, they are fine with flat roads as well? It's perfectly fine to not like them due to them being boring but performance wise, most are fine unlike Arriva's DW's where it's very hit & miss depending on batch & garage.

We can all say we’ve been on examples of a type of bus was slow so doesn’t mean they’re all bad

I was on a DB300; DW249, the other day it left the B9TL for dust. I have heard the excuse for hills with the B9TL, but what is the point when the majority of roads are flat. Having no 'proper' kickdown helps the B9TLs (with their 9.4L, 260bhp units) consume less fuel but on the flipside means their DPF filter's 'likely' to clogg up sooner as their powerful low revv torque means the engine doesn't get a chance on a good workout, unless in top gear at high speeds. The E40Ds and DB300s with their smaller 6.7L units and working¹ kickdown gives them more frequent chances of higher engine revvs and likely thus takes longer for their DPFs to clogg up. However all in all it's down to general maintenance plus a possible factor that some B9TLs may actually be purposely powered down where others of the type can be just as fast as an E40D/DB300 on the flat and on inclines. I've not been on a Sutton B9TL that i can remember but given the general performance of their E40Ds (DOEs) and their B7TLs (PVLs) beforehand I'm guessing their B9TLs are pretty gutsy. ¹ - not all but far more than the B9TLs
