As sad as it is, I would not miss there coach drivers. The most arrogant people I have come across on the road. They were very anti bus and did everything to not let a bus out or cut a bus up. Many bus drivers had experience this behaviour from them.

About 6pm I used to see a few of them drive down the A2, when I drive up to North Greenwich.
Sad to see them go and image it is hand if you lived in a small town/village and picked you up near where you worked and dropped you off where you live.

They operated quite an intensive service pre covid and the fact that it's all been withdrawn just shows how the pandemic has decimated the commuter market.

Could some of the decline be down to Thameslink seeing improvements however especially as plenty of the coaches went into the City of London area? I don't think it's entirely done for because of working habits and they did say (or one of the companies did) they would consider restarting them.

Possibly but I think a lot of usage was to and from Canary Wharf and there would have been a drop in usage when Crossrail opens anyway. They're keeping the situation under review so some sort of service may be restored in the future.

Many bus drivers had experience this behaviour from them. I have to add that some of the driving I’ve seen them do in the mornings down the A2 was anything but professional, only made worse when 2 or 3 were running together, flying up the inside lane and cutting in at the last min before doing the exact same at the next junction, just indicating and forcing their way into a lane, tailgating cars/vans and anything in their way, to save what, a few mins if that…
