Hello all, I would like to know the actual plans for New Years Eve Night. I know there is vague information on TFL Website, but it is not detailed...
1. Which routes are operating extra buses? (I know that 29 will have extra buses and 123 & 158 will operate based on what a bus driver I know at AR told me a couple of months ago)
2. Will buses that serve central London terminate early? (The traffic will be bad and I think the turn out will be large)
3. How frequently with the different underground lines run? Do they even have enough drivers?
I wonder if the TFL staff will be strict about paying customers. Will somewhere such as Oxford Circus or Tottenham Court Road have ticket barriers open to help with smooth flow of passengers. I assume based on previous years Piccadilly, Charing Cross and Leicester Square will be closed after 10/11pm.

Any reason why so many Brixton routes are involved, I'm not aware of any extra local plans unless I've simply not heard about them?

TfL don’t think people in West London will go out, but know that south Londoners will. Also no cabs like to go south of the Thames.

Disappointing east London misses out again. No extras on the (N)69 no 262 this year.

I wonder if the planned curtailments will still take place? I assume the schedules had already been put into place.

Because Brixton has a plethora of bars, clubs and high capacity venues who are all engaging in events for New Year's? It's exactly 10 years ago that I spent NYE in Brixton for a gig (Chase & Status if anyone's wondering). Honestly the real show for me though were the loadings some routes were being bombarded with, particularly the 432 and 118. There's no doubt Brixton will be busy tomorrow night.

I’m not suggesting it won’t be busy tomorrow but usually, we only get extras on a few routes

The displays will happen at various locations across London, so not just in the Central Area. My money is on some at the O2 and Wembley Stadium.

I’m sure Kahn will increase council tax again to pay for it and then spend the next two months bemoaning about TfL is broke whilst not mentioning millions spent on fireworks displays which could have been used to supplement TfLs money pot.

Central line is part suspended between North Acton and West Ruislip due to train cancellations and other tube lines have had minor or severe delays due to the same reason. Interesting night ahead!
