The original spec for the refurb included a new driver's seat.
The buses have smart blinds and are probably covered by a maintenance agreement with McKenna.

Given the fact they’ve been threatened with withdrawal due to the funding crisis, I think we can easily rule out (for now anyway) anything beyond a bog standard London style refurb Absolutely agree. I don't think any refurbs of conventional buses get the USB points, new blinds etc. I believe some Metroline VWHs have had USB ports added?

Weren’t they only on the batch for the X140? Actually I’ve also seen some Metroline buses with the USB sockets along the side panels rather than behind the seats.

From today's LOTS news - This seems to suggest the initial buses being refurbished are prototypes and changes might be made as the refurbs expands across the fleet? --------------------
What seems to be the ‘prototype’ of a refurbishment of the LT class is Abellio LT20. Based at Battersea it would be used variously on routes 3, 24, 27, 159 and 415. It has had a repaint and the seats have been re-trimmed with has a slightly different moquette

Metroline LT15 is also refurbished Good to hear this is one of first of Metroline batch to be refurbished. I wonder if this also includes hybrid/battery fixes or will be later down the line? I understand expensive in short term, but with diesel prices in this climate...
LT10 has been missing for an good while. Could be also refurb related?

The hybrid/battery element is not included at this stage.

The hybrid/battery element is not included at this stage. With things so up in the air at the moment I would have stopped at just a repaint for now.

Well the initial build quality must have been pretty poor when you consider other buses of a similar age are running around without being refurbished are managing fine.

Do the operators get to choose who does the refurbs? I assume not as they are TfL buses? The photo is an RATP example I believe.

The 2 vehicles done so far were new in June 2013. Any vehicles of that age should be due a refurbishment, they are approaching 9 years old.

The inclusion of Hants and Dorset Trim in the programme is a bit of surprise.
I was told they had refused to tender as the price per bus was too low.

I notice a number of long term off road LTs from various companies have returned to service over past few weeks. Is this a requirement for refurbishment? If so, good to give the companies a little motivation to get things fixed.
