Both links are 'page not found'. That's because the forum keeps changing her surname.

Not only is Sadiq Khan playing games with TfL he has pretty much forced Cressida out. We are living is very strange times with all this going on along with the problems in the Government.
At times it feels almost like the last few months of Trump in America.

At times it feels almost like the last few months of Trump in America. Unless there is a drive from the Home Office and the mayor to completely overhaul the Met and rebuild it from the ground up there will be little or no change regardless of who is the commissioner. It’s difficult to change the culture of an organisation as large and complex as the Met. I can’t wait for the Kahn PR machine to begin attacking the Home Secretary claiming the mayor should have full control over the appointment of the next commissioner.

This is going to sound controversial but good riddance to Cressida Dxck. After what they did to Jean Charles de Menezes in 2005 I will never forgive her for that.

One can lampoon BoJo for a multitude of reasons (including partygate) but he seems to have at least got the covid response right. What has sadiq done right? Not one thing I can think of

I agree completely, good riddance to her. That appalling incident at Stockwell and more recently the shambolic handling of the Sarah Everard vigil.

To be clear my post was more about how Sadiq Khan handled the situation.

She should have gone 2 years ago. I really do not understand why she got a contract extension. I really do not know why Boris, Khan and the Home Secretary have been protecting Cresida D~ick for so long. It makes me think that they are trying to cover each others back.

It was absolutely right she should go though I'm baffled why a certain someone brought up the handling of the Sarah Everard vigil as a reason given there are lots of contradictory accounts of what actually happened that evening. It's everything else that went on in that sad situation alongside a host of other things such as partygate, the Charing Cross report, the behaviour of the two officers in the Hampstead Heath murders that has led to the police force being at their lowest ebb probably since the 70's & 80's. For once, a rare occasion that Khan has got absolutely right - ronnie plenty of evidence out there that shows Boris miscalculated the covid response on more than one occasion.

Oh no I fully agree, ms D had a chequered past if I can put things mildly so probably deserves to go In all honesty and while I fully agree that in 2020 BoJo effed up in a big way (some of which is coming back to haunt him), one needs to give it to him that the response in 2021-22 was fairly spot on so can’t fault him. If we had left it to Labour we would still have been scrambling for jabs or under lockdown!
