So Portugal follows Sweden out the Arriva door. **EDIT** the Arriva business was more than TST I believe, does the rest go with it, retained or already disposed of?

I remember seeing a handful of Arriva buses in Portugal in Lisbon, it was more of a partnership with a local firm rather than a full livery like the Netherlands etc. It makes business sense to consolidate in stronger markets than to be scattered here and there. This was like them running the E10 in Ealing surrounded by Metroline and everyone else

Later this year, we will say a sad farewell to colleagues in our Portugal bus business, as they begin a new journey with a new owner.
This week Arriva signed contracts with Dan Group, Israel’s second-largest transport company, to acquire our Portuguese business, which operates as Transportes Sul do Tejo.
The move is an exciting opportunity and good news for the team in Portugal, giving the business’ employees much-needed certainty over their future.
Dan Group has ambitions to maintain and grow the Portuguese bus operations and further develop its market presence. This continuity of service is also good news for the local clients and passengers.
Mike Cooper, CEO, Arriva, said: “This has been a difficult decision for us. The business has been a firm part of the Arriva family for some 20 years, and we will be sad to say farewell later this year.
“However, this is good news for the team in Portugal, it sets them up for a new and exciting future and gives them much-needed certainty.”
Mike said: “I would like to pay tribute to the management team and everyone at Portugal for their professionalism and strength. I am confident that under the ownership of Dan Group they will grow as a team and continue to grow their business.”
The team is working towards a smooth transition to Dan Group, expected to complete in late August this year, and during that time will begin to operate a new seven-year bus contract in Lisbon.
The sale of our business in Portugal is part of Arriva’s growth prioritisation plans and forward-looking strategy to create a more focused, stronger, and more competitive business for the long-term.
