Any news on any frequency changes to - 9,148,N414 ? I'd be surprised if the 9 and 148 didn't go back to every 8 mins if the 12 and 23 are changed/withdrawn. Then again there 148 joins the 453 to Westminster and the 9 and 328 between HS Ken and Hammersmith so may be considered just enough on their current freqs. I think those frequency increases would be reasonable, but TfL have revealed very little about the consequent changes to frequencies of other routes. Unlike other consultations, there are no detailed figures on how much capacity per hour would be provided on joint sections of route and how that relates to projected demand. I guess it is all a moveable feast given TfL’s current financial predicament and they don’t want held to anything given the implementation date of the changes is not until 2023 and demand may change by then. It makes commenting on the proposals more difficult as there is very little hard data available to the public.

I wonder if TfL are going to drop the consultation to remove the 207 and 607 from White City and plan to withdraw them from White City during the same time as the 49 being extended to East Acton and 148 being removed from White City. I wonder.

207/607 need an extension, not a cut Extension? To those two routes? Is this some form of joke? Where would you extend them to?

I wonder. It's probably been dropped and to be honest I don't see the point in removing 207 and 607 from White City Bus Station, it still picks up passengers from there. Another thing is that the 207/607 consultation would've just been a waste of time, so if anything it's a good thing that it was dropped.

The consultations have now closed, I wonder whact changes will go ahead for the West and South changes.
I think the 27, C3, 328 changes will happen because they are actually pretty practical because of the 27 replacing the whole of the C3. I also think that the 74 change will happen because of the extension being ok for people and also not a lot of people use the 74 route all the way to Baker Street from Putney or Earl's Court.

Not sure if the 49 might be saved due to tfl themselves admitting that 22% of current links would be broken. Both Kings Road and Battersea would loose a direct link to Kensington which may have attracted attention as the 27 will go via World's End to CJ.

If a reduction on Battersea Bridge Road is justified it might be simpler to leave the 49 as it is and curtail the 345 at Clapham Junction. It would seem simpler to keep the 74 number for the Roehampton to South Kensington service.

And then bring the 19 further down Fulham Road to Beaufort Street to further compensate the loss of the 14 West End link. The main issue would probably be a lack of stand space at CJ for the 345.

For instance if the 414 extension to Putney Heath goes ahead I wouldn't want it to be renumbered 14 as that would cause confusion with people thinking it goes to the West End when it would be far simpler to retain the number of a route that already goes up Park Lane.

It concerns me that if the 49 is cut back to South Ken then the variety in links over Battersea Bridge, especially for those on the south side becomes a lot worse. They're left with two routes to South Ken (19 and 345), a route to Sloane Square and a route to Victoria and of those the 19 is the only one which goes further north than the tube station it serves, whereas at least that 49 offers something unique in a link westwards to Kensington and Shepherds Bush.

From observations the 74's tourist links from Baker Street are actually quite popular. Baker Street to Knightsbridge/South Kensington is unique to the 74, and it passes a lot of touristy areas that people go on buses to view such as HPC. The 14/414 could terminate at Baker Street to retain those links and make space at Marble Arch for the 7, 94 or 98.

I agree with retaining the uniqueness of the Baker Street to South Ken link, terminating the 74 at South Kensington is ridiculous because there would be no through bus along the A4 from Earl’s Court, even for short trips to Knightsbridge. South Kensington is an awkward traffic junction to have to change buses - same comments apply to the loss of the Battersea and Chelsea to Kensington direct link provided by the 49 which would be severed at South Kensington. The 414 should be withdrawn, the Marble Arch terminus is of no use to anyone coming from the south and having to change buses just to reach the Oxford Street shops. It would not provide an satisfactory replacement for the direct link provided by the 14 to the West End. 14 should be amended to operate Putney Heath to Piccadilly Circus. 430 withdrawn between Putney Bridge and South Kensington. 74 and 19 could stay the same.

The 430 can also divert to Hammersmith via the 220. The 220 has no support and always gets busy, whilst the 14, 22, 74, 414 and 430 all show up heading to the same areas and it results in a lot of lightly loaded buses throughout the day.
