Come to think of it I don't know whether to laugh or weep. We've lived through the covid 19 pandemic, queues for fuels, extinction rebellion protests, various protests in the UK, England making it to the finals of the Euros, the scavenger hunt for food season (just before covid kicked off) not to mention Bojo resigning and now the heatwave. What a time to be alive.

A lot of the problems have been caused by years of poor government and a policy of austerity which have left the UK with little resilience in times of crisis. The pandemic and fuel crises have affected many countries world but Brexit-related supply and economic problems have been entirely of our own making.

From what I have seen there has been no 40c anywhere today? Think the media was hyping this up a bit and bet they are disappointed.
Tuesday was always the day where the temperature could reach 40 as I understand it, Monday was to hit somewhere around 37-39

From my observations less people have been using buses today.

From my observations less people have been using buses today. Mondays are quieter in general although must say roads were pretty empty I breezed through Blackwall tunnel in the morning (actually had to slow down as there was no traffic!) same in the evening

From my observations less people have been using buses today. However plenty were out and about for whatever reason- my only observation from today is that I was in the unfortunate position of having to use the Circle Line in the bit it shares with the H&C/Met when it was the only line running on that section which was complete carnage up to Baker Street

I feel sorry for anyone getting on the Central and Vicky lines at the moment. That is TORTURE I wonder what it’s like on the deep level tube lines like Central, Vic and etc. One way to find out, take a ride on it

I remember a 100f day in 2003 but that’s about it. I don’t remember it being that special but was nearly 20 years ago 🤣 That summer was lethal 😂😂 I remember the tarmac has also melt on a few roads in 2003

I’ve just googled the temperature of the Caribbean and the temperature of the Uk and the UK is hotter than the Carribean. Although, it is not entirely always accurate. As many of the flat open spaces in the Caribbean easily touch 40 degrees C. Many of the weather stations etc are not at as much multiple locations or tend to be at airfields where many are beside the sea.

Media would not be disappointed, especially online, for them it is all about clickbait, give it two months they would be telling us about the coldest winters to come etc.
