Well it was nice she did turn up as she was not expected to make the Crossrail opening. It has been clear that the Queen was fighting health-wise the past few months even up to the Jubilee. Even shocking to fulfil meeting Liz Truss as the new Prime Minister. It makes me feel sad that the Queen has been trying to fulfil public duties serving the public when she knew she was not well. I really take my hat off to her for that, she did not abdicate either when public pressure was trying to force her to, something I am also against doing. She simply was the best Without sounding like a conspiracy theorist there was a huge cannula bruise on her hand in Tuesday. Rather suggests she has been poor health for a while, they pumped her with fluids and blood to accept Liz Truss as PM but it was rather too much for her. I noticed how purple her hand looked when she was with Liz Truss, like blood supply was just covering vital organs when the body is fighting infection, or sadly it this case in decline. It must have been the last of her energy, and doctors asked her to rest yesterday and not cover a Privy Council meeting via Zoom. When events even overshadowed the emergency budget / energy plans in Parliament, and all the family scrambled to Balmoral, it wasn't looking good this afternoon. But the Palace has always said very little about these private matters. "Mobility Issues" is a way not to frighten the horses and worry everyone. Every radio station speaking about the Queen, no music played, and this will go on for at least a few days. Even the weather is sombre. Even noticed less travelling by bus at the moment. New Bank notes and currency for the King will now go into circulation. I think the Commonwealth will suffer, as a lot in the West Indies want independence, the mood music was not good in the last Royal tour...

Can't imagine they pumped her with blood, but almost certainly IV fluids. The bruise also being on the back of her hand suggests that they really struggled to find her veins, as the back of the hand is seen as a last resort for an IV as opposed to the middle of the arm. This also shows she's been pumped with a lot of fluids through that site already to cause vein collapse in the area. Really hope she rests in peace and eventually rises in glory. She's been the rock of this country and I don't think anyone will match her anytime soon.

I’m sorry to hijack the thread and I don’t mean to be crass (at least I don’t think I am) but it’s kind of related. I can only now think about Crossrail and what it’s named after. Who knew that Crossrail would be named after the Queen for her jubilee, it launches round about the same time as her jubilee and then she dies within that same year not long after that jubilee. It’s a weird and sad coincidence. It’s also weird how the Queen dies the same year as her Platinum Jubillee and she has just celebrated that. What a strange coincidence and timing. Rest in peace to the Queen Well it was nice she did turn up as she was not expected to make the Crossrail opening. It has been clear that the Queen was fighting health-wise the past few months even up to the Jubilee. Even shocking to fulfil meeting Liz Truss as the new Prime Minister. I really take my hat off to her for that, she did not abdicate either when public pressure was trying to force her to, something I am also against doing. She simply was the best To just carry on like that rather giving Charles all those duties and despite being not well just shows how much of a trooper she was. She shall be missed greatly.

I am somewhat lost for words and shocked at events given what she did on Tuesday. I hadn't noticed her hand, and maybe what is said above means I shouldn't be shocked. She certainly did her duty, perhaps even at the expense of her own health. Looking back on today, there were certainly clues on what was about to happen. There were four things that struck me:- - When was the last time there was announcement that doctors were concerned about her, the fact such an announcement was made meant it had to be very serious.
- The BBC cleared their schedule - would this really have happened if it were not extremely serious
- The senior royals all went to Balmoral where she was
- BBC presenters were wearing black prior to the announcement of her passing away
I reckon the BBC knew the situation was more serious than they let on.
Whether you are a monarchist or not, she certainly did her duty and carried out her job as Queen to the very best of her ability. In many ways she was brilliant, a true role model showing how to conduct oneself and what is right and wrong. I will miss her, her wisdom and leadership. She gave the country continuity in a world of change.
I am also sure King Charles III will be excellent, albeit different to what we have been used to. Her boots will be tough to fill, but I am sure King Charles II will be up to it. For now, I feel very much for him, for while he becomes King that can only happen because he lost his mother.
RIP

Now I’ve looked again at the photo it looks photoshopped. I’m not an expert but it just doesn’t look right. The way her hand looks layered over Liz Truss’s hand rather than in it. The mysterious person reflected in her purse which given its angle should still show Liz Truss and those bright lights also reflected in the right top corner which doesn’t match the windows in the mirror.

I have to say the BBC has done a brilliant job today. I think they done more on this sad announcement than they did with Prince Philip god rest her soul and be together again with her beloved husband RIP

It's a really sad day for our country (and the world) but I think what really made it tough for her was losing her husband. What a formidable Queen, we all have so much respect for her

In this sad time I just thought I would put this here to lift people's spirits and I think H.M the Queen would like as she was a animal lover

It has always been the case for years that the BBC and ITV would clear their schedule if the Queen was to die, this was no secret. Of recent times only other non Royal or someone not from UK that got huge coverage with breaking news was Nelson Mandela. It was no secret the Queens health had been very poor this year, why she did not attend a lot of events. I believe yesterday they knew the end was very near, hence why they sent attention to senior royals to scramble to Balmoral, I doubt very much they all if any made it in time before she passed.

One happy memory for me is the recent Paddington Bear film she did for the Jubilee it captured her sense of humour brilliantly.
I am surprised there are not more film / documentaries of the Queen being shown instead of the rolling news which is a little repetitive.

What a week. We started it with a male Prime Minister and a female Head of State and that has been turned on its head in just three days.
When anyone talks about the Prime Minister and the Sovereign now, it will take me a moment to realise who they are talking about!

I assume the wrapping will be removed in the next day or so. Amazing how things can change so quickly! To think the Queen was performing her Tuesday!
