Lots of bad driver and controller attitude on the diabellio 381 tonight. Is it always this bad? What was wrong with it? Lots of regulation

Have been hearing that a new depot is to be built in Hayes (Don't know the exact location) but I believe the new garage will be bigger than the current one, someone might know more. Route U5 is set to move there with new electrics.

Originally posted in Tender thread (but more appropriate here) For context, it should be explained that the current Abellio London Bus Depot is located at North Hyde Gardens in Hayes. That site is currently subject to redevelopment proposals (application reference 75111/APP/2020/1955) recommended for approval at the Major Applications Planning Committee on 13th October 2020. Subject to the completion of the Greater London Authority Stage 2 referral process, it is likely that this application will be granted planning permission. This would result in the redevelopment of the bus depot and notice has been served on Abellio that they must vacate their existing depot. It has been confirmed that the current lease will expire in September 2021 and that the landlord will not be renewing the lease. It is noted that the current lease is outside of the Landlord and Tennant Act 1954 and means that there is no security of tenure. Abellio therefore has no choice but to leave the site once the current lease expires and it is imperative that an alternative site for the bus depot is found in advance of this lease expiry. New site : Almost opposite end of Botwell Common Road, next to Lords Builders merchants site Planning application says max 56 buses (was revised during application from 63) Lots of conditions, eg can’t use site until lift in building commissioned Rebuilding locally listed wall Drivers not to engage in Shouting, whistling, or loud conversations in service yard Reversing of buses with white noise alarms not permitted after 23:00 hours modgov.hillingdon.gov.uk/documents/s50701/3751%20Final%20Reports.pdfSite plan Planning Application

I was reading through some of the planning documents for Abellio proposed Dawley Road bus parking site (not a garage)
There is a reference to TfL have advised that expected to be slow conversion 2021-2027 to electric, converting only 9% by 2027 with remainder converting in 4 years 2027-2030
I assume this is based on expected contract end dates of proposed routes, and not a general indication of the Abellio electrification plans

This development incidentally means that both Abellio depots in the heart of west London - GW and this one - will be remarkably modern.

LT22 & 174 Stripped Of Parts In QB 9 and 7 year old buses with long term VOR indefinitely off the road. Abellio just gave up on them?🤭 I'd imagine ever since Wrightbus went into liquidation then was picked up, parts have definitely been slow and probably difficult to find. How were they ever going to reach 20 years I sometimes think!

So was VP623 at Metroline. DW411 ended up scrapped in the end though yes, some buses do return from that condition as you pointed out - Sullivan’s had/have two DS’s that were being used for spare parts during the pandemic but one has returned to service and the other is on course or has already done so

Good to hear just because an bus is scrapped, doesn’t equal being SORN. Even if LTs don’t have best reputation. 😅
