Rob, I agree. AV hasn’t been great for a long while. Vehicle appearance has been shoddy, allocations lazy and effectively it has been backfilled by transferring other routes in during the past few years. TF on the other hand present their vehicles well. The reliability of the LTs on the 267 has been excellent in comparison to when it operated from the other end of the shed. The 111 is a huge route for them to win. I hope AV isn’t backfilled again by moving something out of WK. I actually hope AV takes on the training fleet from NC, with 419 AV > FW to make extra space. Once FW takes on the 290, plus with its charging facilities it should be pretty tight. Drivers would probably also be a bit peeved if it kept flip flopping.

It's simple AB = Abellio as used by LVF.
and their Drivers always appear well turned out.

A reliable source on the LVF Facebook group has reported that MMC’s 8138-8141 have been decommissioned. This includes 8140 which transferred to BC to replace 8108 on the 367.
Sounds like they’re returning to the leasing company following the 481 loss. The extra bus for the 367 could in fact be one of the ex K1 E200’s when you think about it, as the 315 received 6 buses for a PVR of 4.

I thought these buses would work alongside the electrics for the 433 as they spent majority of the time on the route, and it looks like the Ex P13 MMC's havent gone back to BC yet and are still in service at BC. Are they staying for the near future?

Is this a sign they haven't? Nothing foolish about this… Your speculation is foolish though…

Some thought the 111 retention was a done deal as it was getting LTs, say no more

Foolish. They could've won the 439 with these. Is this a sign they haven't? Nothing foolish about this… Your speculation is foolish though… Agreed, paying many a months leasing costs with no contract to pay for them does not seem sensible. One of the draw backs with leasing is that if the vehicles are not contracted to a route, you still have to pay hard cash in leasing costs. With owned vehicles, the cost of depreciation is less noticeable as it is just an accounting exercise. It is hard to justify signing off payment of lease costs when there are no signed contracts. Looking at the Mistral site, leasing cost will be about £1100 per month per 8.9m bus. So 4 vehicles for 10 months is a £44k cost ... with no guarantee you will be awarded the work you are seeking.

Not to mention worst case scenario they can lease the buses back just like Stagecoach have done multiple times now. I'm sure Abellio would be happy to save 44K regardless as the buses will have to be sat around anyway until contract start date.

Even if Abellio doesn't reuse 8118-8121 or 8138-8141, I'm sure other London operators could find them useful for further use on those newish short single deckers with UNO as a one example could acquire a few of them for the 383's new contract next year (if they do retain the route of course) as top-ups to the 2015 E200's on the route especially with a planned restructure of the 383 could mean more buses needed.

I’m sure Team Pennine would be interested too, they’re looking to replace some of their 8.9m Solo’s.

Extremely impressed with Team Pennines launch - an outstanding start with the Denby Darts and they look stunning

But you are right, I think one of the 16 reg MMCs could replace the 07 reg Enviro

And to replace 605 (regarding UNO).
