Does anyone else agree that the MMCs used on the 285 are full of character?

No diesels have been recorded on the 345(N) today. Could be hinting to their withdrawal now unfortunately. Bearing in mind as it's Saturday the general pvr is reduced until Monday.

Does anyone else agree that the MMCs used on the 285 are full of character? Personally, very few buses nowadays have what I'd call character

Does anyone else agree that the MMCs used on the 285 are full of character? I'll have to venture out that side one day, bearing in mind the 270 have the same Smart hybrids but not quite the same roads for thrashing.

I wish the 270 used more E40Hs from the 407.. the MMCs got incredibly boring incredibly fast. I dislike Go Ahead's dominance on Tooting but I'd prefer an E or WVN to the 20xx batch used now.

They'd be more interesting if 'proper' kickdown was enabled, though I'm still happy there's a bit more of variety in specs through the Mitcham area, even though I hardly use the 270 specifcally.

Are the blinds LED? If so, they did a great job laying the blind out, looks very similar to traditional blinds.

It looks it's the end of the road for 9487-9504 as none have been in service since the 28th, the first time since they were refurbished. It's a pleasure to see the 345 finally receive a full hybrid allocation bar 9519, 9521 and 9522 which could go any day now. Are people actually happy to see the diesels go? A few years and there'll be none left, I haven't used them in a while but I thought they were quite nice on the 156. Until today when I had a SW venture passing through Vauxhall & Clapham, I could have sworn that the 156 & 345 were Diesel operated! Growing up with Diesel buses, I, for sure will be sad to see them go hence why I make most use of them when fun riding during available opportunities. I already miss them running in and through Central London. At times it feels odd seeing all Hybrid and Electric around major central hotspots e.g Oxford Circus + Trafalgar Square.

The 156 had a full conversion to hybrids last year for its new contract. The 345's still going through that transition, a handful of diesels still in play.
