If the bus is perfectly running and has no mechanical issues, I’m not sure how the onboard display malfunctioning maybe of a major concern, it may get rectified very quickly but I’m not sure they’ll get penalised for such things. I'm not sure but one thing I know, this isn't the first or last time a bus will be in service with a defective stopping display. I can remember long before I-Bus displays some buses having defective stopping signs even back in the step entrance era Of course we are going to see this very often, maybe this will be the new banditry for the new bus generation. Few times on the 360, the onboard display and stopping sign didn’t work. However there are some higher risk to the electronics not working, if the LED Blinds don’t work, don’t think it can be passed as service worthy untill it’s rectified. With old blinds you can still see destinations.

Happens almost on a daily reoccurrence, that habit ain’t going anytime soon

Not sure on what basis operators could get penalised for the failure of what is TfL kit. Once reported, is it still fixed by a TfL appointed contractor?

I must say I'm rather looking forward to the new Electroliners entering service on the 111, they'll certainly make a change to the Enviro city 400s, expecially as Abellio has never gone for frogfaces before, and I'm assuming they'll also have the high spec seating?

Now in the new TfL specification, I think the Pratico 3840 is superior to the Civic V3, the later looks as though it is a V2 which a hood placed over the top bar.

After the U5’s electrics have entered service what’s happening with E400Hs that are allocated to the U5?

Not sure if they are going to be needed on the 345. The remaining diesels at QB are constantly on rail replacement, when they're withdrawn they might want a few extra buses for said rail replacement work.

3430 has finally entered service, completing the U5's electric allocation.
