Nothing special about 9760. Its outrageously slow and depressing It took me almost 2 minutes to get up that hill towards palace. Normally takes about 30 seconds with any other bus. Most of the buses we got are quite fast. Infact, any of the buses from 9740 to 9759, with the exception of 9755, are quick. 9755 only goes upto 30mph The ones I mentioned in the previous post are not limited to 40mph ;D

Actually a V reg. Trident was on it earlier this year and i was told a 51 reg was even going to be put on it, but then a P13/G1 Dart was available at the very last minute. a volvo was blinded for the 152 last week with the running numbers intact and saw a driver getting ready to take it out. I never actually saw the route in service however if this was in the afternoon, it's probably BC132, as i've been told this is the spreadover bus that also gets the Pollards Hill school kids. Could never figure out why the 655 only goes to Mitcham and not Pollards Hill, where there are at least three more schools along the way.

Yh, I think they rev nicely, Ive a video on youtube of 9737 revving. Also how many of the original ALX200s for the 315 are left as I spotted 8007 and 8008 on the P13 a weeks back. They have a really distinctive and wicked sound. lol had a look at the youtube videos you put on there. Find it surreal that it could be me driving ;D Havan't driven 9737 much and wasn't that impressed by it due to the brakes. However, its faster than most of the buses there. If you want speed than look no further than 9750, 58, 65, 70, and 71. You also got 9760 on there. I was so upset after driving that bus. Never again ....also 9742, 49, 53, 55, 57 and 9768. 9760 either has a pump problem or the engine management's operating in error. Never seem to get problems like this on Voith boxed Tridents.

I done a video of it from upstairs at the back (lucky no thugs were on board), should be uploaded later on.

TBH all the 3's I have been lately do not feel fast atall, they all felt sluggish, I did not note any of the numbers but I know one of them was that 02reg one thats normally on the 3, I was so very surprised as this bus a a 260bhp engine.

That would be 9773 as the only other 02 Trident at BC is 9774, which was fast up the College Road hill the last time i was upstairs on it. Regarding the buses being 260bhp, they may've been governed since Travel London took them over. After all, a lot of their Volvos are very badly governed with its pullaway power. One suprisingly fast bus is V reg. Trident 9729, which was on the 3 recently. Miss them old engined buses on the route, especially with the old type ZF gearbox (better torque/smoother gear change up and down). Pity the old type ZF was not put on the euro_3 Tridents.

Talking of V reg tridents, I really love them and I prefer them to all other euo2 & 3 tridents especially in the case of ELBG I think their V reg tridents are the best out of their whole fleet, they have the most wonderful sound and they are fast.

ELBG's are especially nice when they do the higher revs when they pull away!!! Can feel the vibration of the engine through headphones when they get like that!! One of the best i've been on is 17132 and 17137. Fantastic engine sounds

I've noticed quite a few quick Selkent Tridents where they used to be sluggish. I think the engineers tweaked up the turbo and/or injectors to make them nippier. It seems to have been done during refurbishment on some of them.

Yeah i had noticed that. Wish they could do the same to the 174** batch at NS because they are stupidly sluggish now

One of the best i've been on is 17132 and 17137. Fantastic engine sounds Yes ELBG's earlier Tridents are really good movers, I have been on a few of their V' reg ones in my time (I think my last one was 17184 on the 97 from Chingford) and they sound TOO good I still like ELBG's Euro-3 Tridents, but out of their earlier Euro-2 models I would rate the V-reg ones as the best. It's a shame I haven't been on any of those for ages - it's been all Euro-3 I've noticed quite a few quick Selkent Tridents where they used to be sluggish. I think the engineers tweaked up the turbo and/or injectors to make them nippier. It seems to have been done during refurbishment on some of them. Speaking of tweaking the turbo, I think a similar thing has been done to a few of Arriva's early snails long DLA's recently. Indeed the last few I have been on have been have felt quicker than I'm used to. Another quality video from you by the looks of it vjaska - I shall have to watch it when I'm at home seeing as my college blocks YouTube - actually they block pretty much anything and everything, I'm surprised they haven't blocked this forum yet ;D CORRECTION: last V-reg ELBG Trident I rode was actually 1718 9 on the 97 from Crooked Billet

Not quite sure what their limit is yet though ;D ;D ;D ;D In which case I do hope a similar thing occurs at Queen Mary University (and that's if I work hard enough and get in).
