I had 9406, 9413 and 9421 last week. 9406 is Abellio's prized tacho bus. Still got the TopoDyn acceleration rate restrictions on it but like some of the batch new to the 35 I'm unsure what the speed limiter is set to, if it has one! The fan is overridden to go full guns constantly. 9413 is part of the training fleet. It never regained the TopoDyn and accelerates how ADL intended it to. However it is limited to about 36mph. Slightly amused that the LEDs have numerous coachleasing.com West Midlands destinations programmed in! 9421 still has the standard TopoDyn and 40mph limiter programmed in. BC have clearly spent money on it since transferred in for the 270. The air leak it has causing it to howl when accelerating has been sorted and the engine feels stronger. I'm also told they have done good things for the legendary 9401. To be honest even with all the performance restrictions, getting to drive these is a bit of a treat nowadays, makes a nice change from the staple of LTs and MMCs! I can't wait to hear your take on the Smart hybrid, especially as I've yet to travelled on one despite them now being on the 270 and also taking into account their performance restrictions compared to older E40Ds.

I had 9404 today on the 285 and it was fantastic, especially with some kickdown along Heathrow’s perimeter road! Shame I never managed to get it on the 407 while BC had it but at least 9401 is still there.

The 285's MMCs have been registered on Bus Lists on the Web:

The last batch to see these were back in 2011 with the huge number of 11 reg E400s at Stagecoach which are generally at NS/RM/BK at present.

Now that the e-City Golds have entered service on the C10, 8807 and 8809 are on extras for the 490, however once this ends I would expect these to remain at TF, with 8806 and 8808 joining them. I would assume these would then replace the unrefurbished ex 407 E200's (8518/8519/8521/8522) which are still going at TF?

They seem to be running extras on the 238 (Stagecoach) and 285 aswell from my observations

In December they will need probably another 2 buses for the two extra peak journeys on the 490.

They will not be required by the looks of it. Those five unrefurbished former 407 E200's at TF (forgot to mention 8517) should be replaced by 8806-8809 if they remain there following the 490 extras (which is a strong possibility as they are no longer required at WL) as they have covered on the H25 while they've been away. The fifth bus required to replace the remaining unrefurbished 59 reg E200's could be 8788 if that stays at TF after this weekend's rail replacements. 8524 and 8526 appear to be refurb floats for the 201 so are not allocated to the 433, although I wouldn't be surprised if 8787 moves back to BC in the near future should any extras be necessary.

Isn’t 8787 allocated to the 433? What replaced it? The 433 had a PVR decrease last year, and 8787 isn’t needed at BC, so it’s moved to TF and allocated to the 490.

I don't see 8787 moving back to BC as it wouldn't be required there but it may be re-allocated once 8808 joins the rest and the H25 goes back to fully ex K3 13 reg allocated examples. 8787 might become part of the H28 and altogether, this removes four of the six 59 reg examples at TF leaving two as part of the 290.
