LT692 on Route N68 with the front blind showing "68 Holborn".
This is currently stuck in a line alongside other buses (a NIS 188, a 139, a 341 and an N343) while heading towards Aldwych due to a car catching fire by the Lancaster Place stop. The fire brigade are at the scene currently.

Displaying ‘Holborn 68’ towards Tottenham Court Road and ‘West Norwood 68’ towards Old Coulsdon, which is very misleading and confusing. I don’t understand why the N68 is usually half LT-allocated each night if they don’t have the blinds for it, and if there actually are buses at WL which do

It will be interesting what the N68 uses when the 381 goes fully EV. In addition why is the 133 half EV I’ve seen lots of them on there but still a lot of Hybrids. Anyone can update me on Transport UKs newest EVs for these routes would be grateful.

Some of the 133 batch is elsewhere. The 133 is allocated 3059-3085, but 3059-3064 are on the U5 covering for its BYDs at WL.3077/3083/3084 are also at WL, and 3065 is on the 111, possibly covering for 3009, which has been missing since June and 3030 hasn’t seen use for around 2 weeks, that is probably why 3094 is at TF also. The 133 has seen an increase of hybrids to cover for its missing electrics. The U5 BYDs are currently on the 381 because the BYDs charge better at WL’s charging facilities. This is not permanent, so 381 will eventually receive its intended batch of 3086-3102.

First week of the summer and quieter buses and packed stations and stands.
4 SL2s at South Grove. 7 buses standing at St James Street (only 6 official spaces) and Rail Replacement buses in both directions came in together, so 9 in total at one point.
Yesterday: 128 bus with 'Not fit for use - Do not take out' sign on windscreen in service. I think it was 10125 which is out again today so maybe issue was fixed.

BDE (didn’t catch the fleet number) on the 113. I might be wrong but this seems quite rare to me?

Three separate demos in Central London leading to the usual diversions and curtailments, but some highlights: 88 running a split service, this is much rarer than the 24 being split, Parliament Square <-> Clapham Common & PHF to Great Portland Street Station 148 also on a split service: Camberwell <-> Victoria & White City <-> Marble Arch 1 not split but diverting SB via Gray's Inn Road, Blackfriars Bridge. Two bph north of the river only, rest curtailing at Waterloo Furthest extent of curtailments thus far seems to be Warren Street/Euston/KX for the north (29, 73, 390, 91). Paddington and Harrow Road Bridge in the north west (6, 98, 7, 23), Lancaster Gate for the east (94), Baker Street/Portman Square (Baker Street corridor routes). Princes Gate (52), Queen's Gate (9), Sloane Square (22, 137), South Ken (14, 74, 414), County Hall (Westminster Bridge routes), St Paul's (8, 15, 76, 133), Old Street (55, 243), Roseberry Avenue (19, 38, 341), Lambeth Bridge (87). PS TfL, writing "Routes 6 7 8 9 12 13 14 15 19 22 23 24 26 29 36 38 55 59 68 73 74 76 87 88 91 94 98 133 137 139 148 159 172 176 188 243 341 390 414 and 453 are operating with service changes and diversions due to demonstrations. For more information, visit tfl.gov.uk/bus/status" on the bus status page yet not actually having more information for some routes on said page isn't brilliant. The 1 I was on was diverted between Euston and Waterloo via King’s Cross, Farringdon, Blackfriars Bridge and then 381 to Waterloo. Took almost 2 hours!! Once leaving Waterloo, the driver curtailed his bus to Southwark Park Road. What was even wilder is that whilst I got lucky and the 1 arrived within ten minutes (at 3.20) many individuals had said theyd been waiting since 2PM for a 1 to arrive, (mostly tourists), so to wait over an hour for a bus… wild. Attempted to get from Camden to Putney today and my route was the 1 to Waterloo, the 11 to Chelsea and then then the 22 to Putney! Not the best of days to be a London tour guide for a friend coming nationally. On a Saturday like that, you’re far better off going the ‘long way round’! 27 from Camden then 70 then 14/22/414 I’d think!
