Bit of a mess in C London today. Cockspur Street closed. Some additional diversion must be in place somewhere too because the 88s to PHF seem to be diverting via Kingsway, New Oxford Street and up TCR. I think it may be to avoid the existing Regent Street SB diversion which adds to the mess. x2 24 to TCR NB 88 to Trafalgar Square (out of service on Charing Cross Road NB) — no clue where that’s going, if it’s to head back south it missed the more convenient point to turn back! 88 to Great Portland Street (from Clapham Common) on the Charing Cross Road diversion 88 to Piccadilly Circus (from Clapham Common) 453 to Piccadilly Circus (from Deptford Bridge) Looks like given the amount of curtailments I’ll have to keep editing this, they just keep coming! x3 26 to Trafalgar Square WB 176 to Trafalgar Square NB x2 453 to New Cross Gate SB x4 159 to Whitehall, Horse Guards 88 to Parliament Square (from Clapham Common)
88 to Clapham Common diverted via Vauxhall Bridge Road (no idea where this is coming from, perhaps some are diverted SB via Piccadilly?)

Some bonus pictures of gridlock at and around Trafalgar Square (didn't managed to capture the tailback up the Strand and northbound up Charing Cross Road but there was a very impressive line of mostly 29s, 24s and other routes up the latter). |
