Khan is getting a lot of backlash on X for turning off the ability to reply on his Tweets. Probably doing more damage by doing this as people are just quoting his tweets anyway. No surprise, petty little weasel, who loves to dish out but cannot take it when he gets it back.

I think Khan will almost certainly win again but it won't be nearly as comfortable as the polls are suggesting, polls always tend to underestimate the Tories a little bit. During the last mayoral election he was miles ahead of Shaun Bailey in the polls but only 5% ahead of Bailey on first preferences. I'll be interested to see how the new voting system affects the result because I can imagine the Lib Dems and Greens getting squeezed a bit because people who are inclined to support more action to tackle pollution won't want to risk Susan Hall coming in and rowing back on ULEZ etc. Having said that I do feel Khan is more unpopular this time because of a number of things; ULEZ, Crime, people getting sick of his constant excuses, some tube strikes - the last election was a bit of a weird one because it was the first time people went to the polls after Covid and the year delay probably helped Khan after his battles with the Grant Shapps during Covid. I wouldn't be surprised if Khan wins again with less than the 40% of the vote he got last time, but Susan Hall will almost certainly be too far behind, I imagine the Tory vote be in the low 30s this time. Reform may profit from Tory unpopularity and Howard Cox whilst fishing from a similar pond to Hall, appears more competent.
I'll be really interested to see what happens in the assembly election though as that'll be a good barometer of where the parties' popularity is at in specific areas of the capital. Labour have been gunning for West Central and should take it with ease if they really are on course to win a comfortable majority. Havering & Redbridge has been a perrennial Labour target which they haven't managed to land yet, being an outer London area ULEZ is likely to hurt their chances of winning it. There was talk of the war in Gaza hurting Labour in Ilford and especially Wes Streeting's seat, no idea how significant that will actually be in the Assembly election though given the lower turnout and all. Winning South West would be a good result for the Lib Dems, though they need to mobilise enough of their voters in Richmond and Kingston given they don't have a lot of voters in the Hounslow part of that constituency. I suspect Reform will pick up at least one seat on the list vote.

Too late for London, but can see them becoming a stronger force. This is what happens when the mainstream parties like Conservative and Labour do not listen, we get more splinter hardcore right and left wing parties.England cricketer Monty Panesar to stand for George Galloway's partyFormer England cricketer Monty Panesar has been unveiled as a general election candidate for George Galloway's Workers Party of Britain.www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-68929678

It's all over bar the shouting now.
Does feel very low key this time around. Hard to believe that is polling day tomorrow. I suspect turn out will be extremely low and it will be much closer than most are expecting.

May the best candidate win! Have to say I won’t be sorry to see the end of political bickering on here! We still have a general election to endure this year so it isn’t over yet. I just hope we don’t have to see gloating from either side. It’s quite pathetic.

Strange man with microphone was walking past house telling people not to vote for Sadiq 😂 I though it was illegal to do that on voting day Only near polling stations as it can be interpreted as voter intimidation. Main political parties also aren't allowed to canvas at all on polling day, be it in person or in the media. Seeing as it's a solo guy walking residential streets with a megaphone, no laws have been broken based off the info given.

Low turnout (40.5%) and Highest turnouts in outer regions (Havering, Croydon, Sutton, Bromley) could still see a very close result.

Low turnout (40.5%) and Highest turnouts in outer regions (Havering, Croydon, Sutton, Bromley) could still see a very close result. I did say this it would be a low turn out and close result. But people here were constantly saying Khan would win by extreme margins due to the pollsters, I never trust them.London mayor election: Voter turnout 40.5%Voter turnout was 40.5% in the London mayoral election, down 1.5% overall from 2021, London Elects has announced.www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-68953047
