Police shot dead a man on a tube train at Stockwell today. The Victoria & Northern Lines have been shut again.

I just saw this thread. It meant both Stockwell and Oval were closed off. The 155 were terminating at Clapham Common. Half of the route just shut down just like that. Serious traffic as wellas the Northern Line not running meant that they were still having turns to Tooting Boradway.
Security alerts all over, every day meaning bus routes are being diverted to all sorts of places. Brixton especially.

haha yeah Steve, i dont think i ever heard CentreCom to be on the blower every 5 mins, those guys sure earning their bread since the bombings started. Nothing but diversion announcment.
With regards the shooting of the man, i would rest the blame entirely on him. If he was legal in staying here and spoke good english with nothing to fear then why did he play the machoman card? under these recent climate if those cops told me to wear a womans dress and do breakdancing, i bloody would. That guy is a bloody idiot if you asked me and thats what you get for playing the wise guy.

Its a tragic he died in those circumstances but in a busy area he decided to ignore police instructions and jump over the ticket barriers. Now when I think of that I think he definately deserved to be hunted down. There always this feeling wishing that the police could of just injured him instead. Oh well, a warning to anyone obeying the police.

I standby the decision and actions they took, they put their lives on the line to protect the many and no money or words could compensate them or their families should their lives be lost whilst doing their job.
Since after the 2nd bombing attempts ive had to wave down police cars and get some people who fits a profile and is carrying a rather large ruksack off or and had to call centrecom once when i saw a person acting suspicious who got off at oxford circus, i know they did a survailance on him for hours, all he did there was just for loitering and i think they ended up taking him in for questioning. If i was in one of those asian peoples shoes, id keep a low profile and not carry a rather large ruksack you can be mistaken for something a little more.

Might have to agree on that. The police job is to protect the public. If the guys a threat then eliminate. Its growing onto me now.
Ain't had that many but when a passenger comes on my bus with a ruksack I can't keep my eyes off them. I sure other passengers feels the same. I don't think I seen an asian person with a rusack since the second incidents.
