Having visited Worcester one day last week I noticed how all the signals around there are the old semaphore type, still controlling the train movements.
This there any other places on the NR network that still uses semaphore signalling rather than the more modern automatic signalling?

Yes quite a few semaphore areas, remarkably, in 2003 and no doubt into 2004. Polegate and Berwick, Sussex (pr. Ber-wick incidentally) are two such instances. Also Amberley and possibly Canterbury West.
At Greenford, it's possible to photograph a Central line train and a semaphore together, the latter controlling the adjacent Chiltern line. Must be others on this line - West Ruislip etc. No doubt there are some pockets of semaphore on the former GWR down towards Penzance.

Surprised no other answers forthcoming. Semaphores still in Bexhill area (seen recently) and possibly some down the mid-Sussex (Billingshurst area?)
Must be some in Lincolnshire or around Cambridge area surely. Will keep eyes open next time I'm in the vicinity.

The semaphore is still used alot outside of the London network. As roofbox said, the Great Western line does indeed have alot on the Paddington to Penzance line. The reasoning might be behind the type of trains used. Most examples of semaphore seem to be on diesel operated routes where as lights are used by pantograph routes. This seems to be the link as 3rd rail use lights too

Plenty more semaphore signalling for you: Barnham, Bognor (?), Brandon, Thetford, Attleborough, Wymondham (all on Ely - Norwich line).
parts of Norwich - Yarmouth line. Greenford, Maidstone Barracks (?), East Farleigh, Canterbury West and Blackpool North. Some will need checking.

This sounds like the lines that run of either 3rd rail or diesel. None of them as far as i know have overhead operation

Nice to see that the old LU trains are still doing well!
It is a case of semaphore being used in areas that don't have overhead services. I'll be surprised if any overhead lines have semaphore signalling

I feel that parts of the Bletchley - Bedford line are still semaphore signalled.

I feel that parts of the Bletchley - Bedford line are still semaphore signalled. Not for much longer - I'd imagine they'll have been removed when the line reopens in a few weeks

Perth to Inverness does - saw it last week (can't remember about the Inverness-Aberdeen or Abrdeen-South lines though!

Not too sure. What work have they been carrying out on the line. If it's maintanence work then i doubt it but if signalling work has been stated then possibly. It takes a long time to replace a network of signals and even then they have to get it right!

Some more sites etc. Bletchley - Bedford definitely all colour light. Semaphores remain at RYE, CANTERBURY EAST (probably not West), WRAWBY JUNCTION, LINCOLN CTL and parts of mid-Sussex line.
There at least one miniature semaphore in Wembley Inter City yard (visible from WCML).

* can't show Gilber-d-y-k-e!! Wonder if S-c-u-n-thorpe is semaphore!!
